Personally I disagree with most of those choices...MGS is enough of a movie on its own and The Oregon Trail? C'mon!

Though Bioshock would be interesting, and I wouldnt be the first to think a Zelda movie (if dont right) would kick ass...

The Oregon Trail was an awesome game when I was growing up. And in my opinion, the only way any video game can be a truly good movie, is if its animated. Most of those wouldn't end up being fully animated, so I wouldn't have an interest.

Also, the Halo movie that was planned would have been interesting if it wasn't scrapped.

Fans would criticize it off a cliff, even if it were decent. Unless it would have been an awesome movie, a complete blockbuster, all by itself (meaning in the case of the games never having existed).

They should have some very creative set designers for the Bioshock Movie. I would never forgive them if they ruined Rapture.

I'd love a Zelda movie, but not OoT. I loved the game, but it's plot was rather simple. I'd suggest a more beefier title plotwise to make it to the big screen.

And I could never imagine Shia Lebouf as Cloud Strife XP And partnering him up with Angelina Jolie as Tifa just seems unatural *shudders*

I don't think the Halo movie would be criticized too roughly if it was executed nicely. However, the chances of that happening with a video game movie is almost nonexistent, especially with a game about aliens invading Earth. (Because THAT's never been done before...)

Wait, what? Have you only played MP2? If you have, they're releasing all three games on a single disk with MP3 style controls for MP1/2.

Personally, I think Metroid lends itself to movies better than most other games because there isn't some long convoluted plot to squeeze in. It's kind of structured like Aliens, where the protagonist lands, explore for a bit, shit gets real, then they fight with a giant alien. Since you don't have to squeeze in a bunch of characters, you can just have Samus shooting space pirates while she collects stuff, then fights Ridley and Mother Brain.

As long as they don't give her a random, pointless love interest, you could have a pretty good action movie.

One game I think would be cool as a movie (and actually good) is Second Sight. Maybe that's what they need to do; go with games that weren't big hits.
