i was reading the newspaper today and saw this article. Apparently a man was pulled over for speeding and after getting a ticket he drove off and gave the cop the middle finger. He was then pulled over again and given another fine for 110$ for inappropriate hand gesture. This is canadian money but it still seems pretty stupid.

Edit: Oh yeah, I need to say something.

... That's ridiculous.

Hey common, our dollar's not that bad. Anyway I saw this on the news, it certainly gave me a good laugh.

Side note: Please employ propper grammar in the future. Also giving the thread a little more room for discussion would help.

Flipping someone off? What's the big deal. If I were in Canada I'd just say "Listen buddy, I wasn't speeding."

"Canadian money"? Whats that suposed to mean? Our dollar is worth more than the American dollar. (At the moment but still)

Oh my god! He held up a finger! Do people really find that offensive? Every time someone flips me off I just laugh... How is a finger supposed to be offensive?

"I'M NOT YOUR BUDDY GUY!"

Applying penalties for sassing the officer is a very necessary part of law enforcement. It's not a free speech issue. Nor is it news, it happens all the time. Just be glad you don't live in Mexico, they'd probably break your hand for doing that. Or China... you'd probably be tortured or "disappear."

Hey, look what I found [http://www.chiprowe.com/articles/legal-history-finger.html].

I'd flip 'em off again and yell "I'm not your guy, friend!"

Some rich neighborhoods(from other places) and inner-city parts of Norfolk fine you for swearing too loudly.
