First of all. I'm not a brony, but I like your new avatar.Caramel Frappe said:You know.. I actually didn't think of that. You got a good point there. However, the sad part is that the 26 year old guy did confirm to a neighbor he sexually assaulted the kid with a Wii remote (it's at the bottom of the Article). Besides that, the kid was crying all night dramatized which I bet if the cops examined the kid- they could see 'proof' that his anal was contacted with an object... .. . saying that made me have chills down my spine.Batou667 said:Hey now, steady on... I enjoy the occasional beer but that doesn't mean I'm liable to sodomise children at the drop of a hat. I'd say that, if this story is true, the guy had deep-rooted anger management issues which would dwarf any drink problem he might have had.Caramel Frappe said:Also, what makes me really concerned is why did the parents entrust a 26 year old to be around these kids if they even knew he drank beer?
But anyway, a lot of this story doesn't add up. How's this for a different take on it: Man plays Wii with kids, the kids p*ss him off, he takes it too far and back-hands one of them around the head. The next day the boys make up some outrageous story in revenge, and the tabloid media eats it up because sensationalism sells. Or is that too cynical of me?
Again, I acknowledge your logic about this story being made up and that can be true... yet, the article states the 26 year old gave himself in to the neighbor resulting the arrest. Now, I just want to know how the other kids plus parents can sleep through that child's screaming when materially raped (if he could scream.) Oh and I know not all adults who drink beverages of beer do such crime. Just some cases these adults let kids get the best of them and just, snap.
Actually, I was wondering the same thing. He did this in a house with sleeping adults and apparently in front of other children, but no one said anything? In fact, he apparently attacked him the next day, too. It doesn't really say anything about how in the OP, so he could have just punched him or something, but he obviously had some serious issues. Assuming he assaulted the kid in a similar way with the Wii remote, how could anyone let that happen again? I do think he might have simply tried stuffing the remote in the kid's mouth, though, which would explain at least a little of it. (try not to think about that too hard)
No matter what, this seems out of proportion. Looking at myself, I only have a few reactions to being teased.
*Ignore it
*Laugh
*Tease back
*Light (playful) punches in the arm
These seem pretty reasonable. I probably wouldn't do the last one to a kid that's half my age, but nor would I do anything with a Wii remote, either.
