I'm not sure WoW should be contributed this.
He wanted to protect his sister, and that is great! If he wants to credit World of Warcraft, then that's just fine... Who cares? He most likely saved the life of his sister. That is fucking awesome.

In short: That is one awesome kid.

He said he knew what to do from WoW, why would he lie about that?
Obviously the kid's an idiot to attribute such basic skills to WoW.
Well, he was smart enough to save his sister, but again, I ask, even if he's stupid, there is some reason he attributed it to WoW, the reason I think it was is because he was honestly weird enough to think "well what would I do in WoW" when they saw the moose.

If you have some reason he might have lied about the source of his information, do share, but "he's an idiot" doesn't exactly explain why he told them he thought of WoW, he knows what he thought about, so if he lied, he did it intentionally.

Hahaha moose attack. Of all the animals to attack her a bloody moose.

Anyway it has nothing to do with WoW, just common sense.
Hey, as a Canadian, I can safely say that moose attacks are some of the most horrifying things experienced by man. And if you're convinced they don't happen, that no one could be so unintelligent as to provoke a moose, let me remind you, we're also known for our marijuana.

Okay, in all seriousness, this is a pretty great story. Boy plays video games, boy and sister go for walk, sister almost gets mauled by 2 tonne creature of death, boy saves sister. Maybe those skills, though related to, were not directly influenced by WoW, however, not a whole lot of the evidence against video games is directly related to the hobby itself either.

He has access to the internet; he may be just savy enough to know that the game business needs a boost in press to show it ain't all bad.

Regardless, these skills are simple common sense. Attributing it to playing a game is idiotic.

Sadly, he later returned to the scene of the moose attack with several friends to farm XP.

A Moose once bit my sister ...

No realli! She was Karving her initials on the moose
with the sharpened end of an interspace toothbrush given
her by Svenge - her brother-in-law - an Oslo dentist and
star of many Norwegian movies: "The Hot Hands of an Oslo
Dentist", "Fillings of Passion", "The Huge Molars of Horst
Nordfink".

Moose can be quite aggressive. They are also incredibly strong. Don't fuck with them or get near them while camping.

I agree it's idiotic, and I think he was idiotic enough to actually try to save his sister with tricks from WoW.

What I do not think is that someone as stupid as you claim he is as a 12 year old realizes much about how to spin a story of dangerous animal attacks into a PR boost for World of Warcraft.

You do realize you basically called him "savvy" and "an idiot" at the same time right?

Done!

Sorry, but that has to take the cake for most ridiculous statement of the day, if not of the week or month.

The kid is 12 years old. He isn't a rocket scientist... He's a kid. He saved the life of his sister. Maybe he's illiterate, maybe he's a totalt WoW-nerd. Maybe a lot of things.

The fact of the matter is that he saved his sisters life. That is pretty fucking awesome right there. Your constant need to bring the kid down for no apparent reason other than accusing him of lying about where he has such "skills" from. It is common sense, yes - but this is a 12-year old kid, and to be fair "taunting" and "aggro" is incredibly important in WoW. He could actually have the theory of his actions from there... How do you know?

And why the fuck would a 12-year old boy lie about where he... Seriously? Are you saying that? I can't even finish that sentence, it's that ridiculous.
