Old news sure are old.

Hey lets totally repost that story about some chinese boy who set his friend on fire claiming to be a fire mage. Since it's the time to tell old stories vaguely related to WoW, that one's a classic!

Because distractions and pretending to be dead have been around only since WoW was invented.

But then again, he learnt it from WoW, not some survivalist camp. You gotta give the kid credit....but not the game.

"The amount of experience points given for the encounter is currently unknown."

This whole article just made my day.

Of course there wasn't any exp, he just FD!

Would be funny if he played a night elf and actually did the whole death animation when he feigned death.

hu-rahhhh
That brings up a good question, Is he Horde or Alliance?

You mean he used common sense and attributed the skill to playing WoW? You're right, that is amazing! Good for him!

Blah...
Good point, but if I was in that situation I don't think I would have the balls to taunt a freaking moose!

ITT: People who think they are too smart to just accept something.

The kid learned how to taunt and fake death from a game, he used the skills he learned, they worked, get over your selves and just accept it, fucks sake.

I'd like to see him do the same against a bear. The outcome would have been different.
Actually it wouldn't, the basic way to avoid a bear attack is to play dead, and that's exactly what he did, so yes, he would have survived, yeesh!

I'm no expert on bears but I remember reading somewhere that playing dead against bears is bad. Hang on...

"Never attempt to play dead with a black bear or a bear that appears to consider you prey. If the bear begins to maul you after you have played dead, you have no choice but to fight back."

Yup I was right.

That's cool, but a 12 year old shouldn't play WoW, nor should he and his sister be walking alone in the woods.
Shouldn't be walking alone in the woods? What ever happened to the days where kids had freedom. Now they aren't allowed to do anything.

Wow, whats with all the Warcraft haters taking this achievement away from the kid.
He's 12, we should all be stunned by how calm and quick witted he was in a situation like that.
Just because he got his inspiration from a game you don't play/don't like doesn't mean this is a bad thing. Jeez people.

Wow the ability to wave your arms and yell, then lie on the ground quietly, what insane wow skills he must have to have picked up such complex tactics. Seriously. If it wasnt for my wow years i would never have learned the art of jumping.

Freaking hacker, the same character cant use feigned death and taunt they are 2 different classes abilities. Clearly he learned nothing!

Seriously though pretty cool, must of taken alot of nerves and some quick thinking. Good job him!
