Yes 2003 was a dangerous time to be a 13 year old girl. Do you realize the strip search occured 6 years ago. The girl in question is in her first year in college. Its not as if the have steadily stripped every girl year after year. Why not talk about Elian Gonzalez some more? Isolated incidents and isolated
I realize it was a while ago, but that is irrelevant. What is relevant is that the Supreme Court is finally getting involved. So if the Supreme Court says it's warranted, then any school will have the right to do so without interference with the law.
If anyone thinks the Supreme Court will rule in favor of Miss Redding without question, then think again. The Super Court has been known to make for some serious showboating material. Also, the court is not immune to lobbyists or special interests for that matter.

And the reason this is relevant again (some people are saying that its old news) is becasue the court date on I believe the appeal is coming up.
The final ruling/verdict is supposedly June. However, like I posted earlier, one Chief Justice has already been quoted in saying, "Its a matter of embarrassment or in some cases even death." The attorney representing the school was the one making the quote and statement preceding the quote by saying, "I really like what the one Chief Justice (Name) said, .."
So it's not looking so hot.
