Since they're at close range, I'd use the assault rifle from Dead Space. Just use that secondary fire thing constantly.

Portal gun.

Why fight when you can run?
I have to agree. Running sounds best in these situations. Hiding also sounds good too.
Huh!

...

Hadn't thought of running actually.

Hiding doubly so. If there are 15,000 in sufficient density, they will either find you... or trample you.
Or by complete random luck they would bypass you leaving you free to run in the other direction.
Why rely on luck when you can rely on bullets?
1 VS. 15,000. Unless you have an entire squadron on guys aiming down the row at them they will eventually surround you. Plus, some bullets may hit the same knights two, three, or even four times there by wasting some ammo.

So if you had lets say 20,000 bullets and four bullets hit each knight you would roughly waste about 5,000 bullets on the same knights.

Plus we also have to factor in pain tolerance, where the body was hit, and all that stuff. Unless of course I am thinking way to much into this.
Then bring more bullets, you can never have enough bullets when you have 15000 knights to deal with.
You could also dress up as the pope and say God will smite them if they take another step.
Or you could just cut out the middle man and dress up as god and "smite" them yourself, but what fun would that be.
Or you could just turn the game off altogether.

How about superman 64 powers, I could just fly away, jk. How about infinite mini nukes from fallout 3.

Yahtzee's microwave gun from the Darkest of Days video.

EDIT: Oh, from a video game. Well...nah, I still want the microwave gun.
Microwave expander, Duke 3D? :)

Anyway, if I can't have a 'Mech, or a suit (those would definitely come first), or some type of aircraft/starship, and if I can't just annihilate them with an orbital cannon, and if they're too close to defend myself or use a long-range weapon, I would have to go with a Tesla Cannon if they're approaching from one direction and ammunition isn't an issue, or if ammunition would be and I'm forced to go melee, well...

One of the 250 weapons or so I have unlocked in Soul-Calibur should do.

Portal gun. Move to a safe position, then start dropping them on each other.

Cybran Nation Armored Command Unit. Once I've blasted them all with the Molecular Ripper Cannon on my 50-meter tall robot, I can reclaim the mass in their charred corpses and build my own army of war machines. Hell, I can ever start reclaiming them while they're still alive, which is pretty sadistic. And if I have enough time (which I do, because they can't damage me), I can upgrade to a Heavy Microwave Laser and disintegrate everything that comes within range.

It may not be creative, but a minigun would do nicely. Or 6, yeah 6 miniguns.... I'll be right back.
I believe 6 A10 thunder-birds gattling cannons because they own and those missles PWN and Thank you Hawx
Not to be rude, but It's thunderbolt not thunder-bird. But yes, 6 of those guns would do very nicely.
That is the Gau-8 Avenger, and it kills. Everything. You wouldn't even need 6, 1 is more than enough. If we are talking 15,000 knights from when they are at their peak, i.e. they know nothing of the modern world, then if 1 doesn't kill them all it will scare them enough after killing most of them.

Admittedly my first choice isn't a weapon as much as it is a force of nature: Toph Bei Fong, yes, the blind girl from Avatar. For an actual weapon I'd use Raging Heart from Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha. Special note for Samus Aran's powered armor: it is a weapon and it would most certainly work here.

The Weather Control Device from C&C: Red Alert 2. Bet they regret wearing all that plate armour now! Either that, or the Tesla-ised Eiffel Tower [http://www.cnccz.com/ra2/screenshots/eiffel.jpg] from the same game.

A lightsaber and force powers. And a black robe. Bring it!

Finally all that practicing with a broomstick will come in handy! :p
