Super Mario World on the SNES.

My first act was jumping on a Koopa and then its shell... And the rest is history...

Megaman X for the SNES, yeah video games kicked my ass when I first played, but through trial and error I finally beat it, you know what my second game was? Super Castlevania.

The first game in my house and the first game I played was the Mario/Duck Hunt duo for the NES. The first game that was actually mine though was Pokemon Snap which I got with my N64 for Christmas, lol.

The 7th Guest, though I had no conception of what was going on. My first consciously-played videogame was A Bug's Life for the original PlayStation.

Heart of Darkness (PC) or Tomb Raider 1, 2 or 3 (can't remember - PC too).

None of that Nintendo crap!

I remember playing Space Invaders at the movie theatre, and Pac Man, too. But the first game I ever owned was the original Donkey Kong on the Colecovision.

Mine was Pandemonium on the PS1. I was five, and absolutely convinced that lifting the controller would make the protagonists jump as opposed to the X button. They died a lot.

However ridiculous it may sound, some Sabrina the Teenage Witch platformer on a friend's Gameboy Color. Yep.

But once my parents finally got me a Gameboy Advance (Dad wasn't too keen on the whole gaming thing for a long time and still thinks Mum and I are weird for playing them all the time) it was onward to Mario, Zelda, Pokemon, Golden Sun, etc.

Edit: I still find it quite depressing that, thanks to their reluctance towards buying a console, I had to miss out on the SNES and N64 and all that until other ways to play those games became available.
You'd think someone who'd loved their Intellivision so much (Mum) would keep up with that sort of thing. Eh.

I think it was "Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?"(this answer changes all the time, I really can't remember what my first game was)
Now there was an awesome game.

OT: Mine was Prince of Persia for the.....SNES maybe?
I'm not sure about the console exactly, I was very young.

The first game(s) I have had the luxury to own were Super Mario 64 and Star Fox 64 when I got it with my brand new Nintendo 64. The Rumble Pack that came with Star Fox 64 really did it for me, which really added to my experience as a young gamer. It was fascinating to feel that responsive rumble, and I'm telling you, THAT was entertainment. Having to crash into the sides of buildings and 'Do a Barrel Roll!' into the ground made it all too entertaining when you could 'feel' the action in your hands.

Wow. Nostalgia Lane.

Other than that, the first game I have ever played was either Super Mario Bros. for the NES, or Duck Hunt for the NES.

Good time, good times.
