They aren't special, the 2 dollar bill is printed on a regular print cycle just like all the other bills, they just aren't as widely circulated.

Loads of people don't know they exist. I know a few people going to America soon and I've asked them to try and get me one, just for fun.

A 3 dollar bill would be pretty cool too.
I've got 3 pence coins at home as well as a pristine Iraqi banknote with a picture of Saddam Hussein on it... Somewhere..
Should be worth some in a few years.

If anyone wants to swap 2 dollars for 2 quid, give me a shout ;P
I've got a whole roll of 'em lying around somewhere, so I'd be happy to trade. But you do realize that your 2 quid is actually worth more like 3 dollars, right?

But people don't think £2 coins don't exist.

I always carry a $2 bill in my wallet. I call it my lucky bill. I know it's just psycological, but I seem to do better at gambling when I remember to keep the $2 bill in there (live in Las Vegas). It's also always a handy thing to have if I run out of cash (which is much more seldom than it used to be) as I've always got that in reserve.

I've got a couple I keep at home because they are really old. My grandpa used to give me $2 bills and silver dollars for my birthday when I was a little kid, so I've got a bunch of silver dollars too. My favorites are the apollo moon landing commemorative ones with the eagle landing on the moon.

I'm surprised people haven't heard of them. I normally carry two of them around in my wallet for emergency because I know I'll never spend them. I have a nice pile of them.

In the area where I was born and grew up, it was a tradition to give the parents of a new baby $2 bills. I have a bunch from way back then.

I have 5, and 11 50 cent coins, plus a few gold dollar coins, and most of the state quarter although I've stopped looking for those.

I have several, one of which I keep in my wallet as emergency money. They really aren't rare. It's hilarious trying to spend them sometimes, because a lot of people apparently don't beleive they're legal tender - I had a cashier at a gas station try to tell me I couldn't pay for my soda with a $2 bill - then she tore the corners off of it, even though it was the only cash I had on me, and she threatened to call the cops when I walked out of the store.

It stopped being funny at that point.
Should've told her to call, what would'a happened?

I have a bunch of $2 bills saved up.

Now what is a rare find is a Silver Certificate [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silver_Certificate]. I found a $1 one about a year ago in our office snack bar mixed in with regular bills, I haven't seen one of those in years.

I have a 1993 £5 sterling coin. Apparently there have been 21 different issues of it over 20 years inclusive of this year but I've only ever seen the one I was given and the one my brother was given.

I've seen several 2 dollar bills.

There are not and never have been real 3 dollar bills. The ones you've seen are fake.
