My PSN is at 6 but that's nothing compared to my friend who has a plat in EVERY game he's either rented, played or borrowed off me.

The only games I care about getting a score on are old school arcade games like Galaga or Pac-Man while I'm drinking a malt at the local soda shoppe.

At first I always wanted to complete all the games to 1000 points (Did it for Halo 3, Army Of Two etc..) but then it became just grinding all the time and ended up taking all fun out of the game, so now I beat a game on all the difficulty settings then not play it again (apart from a select few), I don't go out of my way to do side-missions just to get game points, I just play the game. My friend on the other hand....

Easiest. 1000. Ever.

I'd never resort to such cheap GS whoring tactics, though.

Unless the achievements unlock things in game (in the manner of Mass Effect etc), then I think anyone chasing achievements is an idiot wasting their time. Y'know, in my (not at all) humble opinion.

It's not something I pay a great deal of attention to, though if a friend hits a milestone, I'll congratulate them.

Only game I've got the full whack of is Banjo-Kazooie. The arcade one. I used to have all 1000 on Oblivion I think, but then Shivering Isles came out. Same with Crackdown.

This isn't 4Chan, we don't flame eachother or talk that kind of crap around here.

Please don't do that again.

My gamer score (that's been logged online) is 4042 points. Since I don't have my xbox connected to the internet, my XBOX gamer score is 5413. I've gotten some achievements from DoW2.

The game with the most achievements is the Godfather 2. I've only got three achievements left to do. :)

Great game, btw.

We may not be 4chan but we're like the PG-14 version (clearly that means removing most obscenities). If you take away the dirt, you have jokes, political discussion, gaming, and manga/comics. (not so much the last one though here).

On topic:

I don't quite see the point of gamerscore other than another epeen growth formula. I wouldn't play for the score, I'd play for the fun, then see what my scores at. but hey, I guess it does help to distinguish people who have put alot of time into their games.

Mine's 5,020. That seems high. I don't think I actually play that many games, and I'm the opposite of a completionist. In most cases, I just plow through the main story and ignore the side stuff, which is usually just game-lengthening fluff anyway (the exception is the Mass Effects, even though a lot of that is still game-lengthening fluff).

Not really. The mods here don't regulate swearing, unless it is used in an aggressive way or to offend someone.

I for one am glad we don't get inundated by sex ads and leet speak.

There are some games I did push for the 1,000G just because it felt achievable and the game was generally fun; like Assassins Creed 2.

I'm actually a PS3 owner, so we get trophies, Bronze, Silver, Gold or if we get all the others, a Platinum. There's also apperantly little levels based on how many you have, so I'm a 6, which is a good amount

I like to try and get 100% trophies when I can, I'm close on Infamous, just need 2 more to get them all, and on other games I spent extra trying to get them all. And I'm sure I'll go through my games someday and get as many as I can, like when I start playing Creed 2 again I'll try to get all the trophies

A lot of people don't go for the trophies, but I view them as trophies, and do my best to get as many as I can, I'm proud of the trophies I get

Don't care much for it, was surprised to see I have all the achievements in Arkham Asylum.

But I turned the notifications off because it doesn't mean anything.
