Although my most anticipated game was The Witcher 2, there are still lots of money to leave my pockets too... Hope most turn out to be great games

Discounting the fact I've already had 2 big buy's this year, Portal 2 and Brink, and I'm getting LA Noire shortly, I honestly don't know how I'm going to have any money left by the end of this year.

E3 has just dumped another list of games that I just HAVE to have on me that are all coming out this year. Don't get me wrong I'm totally stoked but I'm starting to think I'll have to rob a bank to pay for all of these...

- Mass Effect 3 (ok, I know it's 2012 now but it's early 2012 when I'll still be reeling from all the others so it counts)

- Assassin's Creed: Revelations

- Deus Ex: Human Revolution

- Battlefield 3

- Modern Warfare 3

- Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim
well if you already have a modern warfare your pritty set there all really similar.

assasins creed is still ezio so thats sorta lame too I dunno im waiting for the next one.

battlefield is still really similar to cod just a little more dynamic and requires a little bit of a different approch

so that eliminates 3 right there :p plus if you hold off youll get them cheap or just late

I might end up getting Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition on Steam if they have a Christmas sale of some kind. And maybe Avadon. Maybe. Other than that, the games I'm looking forward to are either coming out in 2012, or on the 3DS, which I most likely won't be getting this year.

Not much of a pestilence on my wallet. Theres maybe one or two games i'll buy straight away the rest i'll get when steam has them on sale.
I'm not in any rush to get all promissing new releases.

hmmm, lets do a count:

1. Skyrim
2. MW3
3. Battlefield 3
4. FEAR 3
5. Dead Island
6. Saints Row: The Third

And games I have already bought this year:

1. Dead Space 2
2. Bulletstorm
3. Pokemon Black
4. Portal 2

Yep... its gonna be a bad year for my wallet.

I've already bought Pokemon, Portal and Mortal Kombat.
My brother has LA Noire, so I'll play that as soon as he's finished with it.

Other wants:

Batman Arkham City
Saints Row the Third
Guild Wars 2
Assassin's Creed
Mass Effect 3 (though next year)

Solution: Get a few friends that would be willing to split the price of all the games amongst ye.
Each person gets to keep one or two of the games at once and when they're done they pass it on to the next one who wants to play it.
Sounds like my system could work...
Assuming that they'd agree to this deal and wouldn't hog the games too much.
...
Oh **** I forgot! I mostly just play games on Steam...
This could be more difficult than I anticipated...
This is what my housemate and myself do.
I bought Portal 2, and when I completed it he did it.
At the moment he's currently borrowing my Assassin's Creed Brotherhood and I have his Mass Effect 2. Depending on whether Skyrim has multiplayer or not, he'll get it and I'll borrow it later (unless it has multiplayer in which case we'll both get it). Same with Deus Ex and Gears of War 3.

My brother will inevitably buy MW3 so I can steal that from him, but I may get it myself...maybe...

Discussion value: Which big releases are you planning on getting? Which are your favorites? And how are you planning on affording them?
I'm counting on the fact that most of them will suck.

It sounds like you should probably start renting. Sure one or two of those games might be worth $60 but chances are, most of them wont.
Saints Row 3 looks interesting but I?ll be renting it first.
Starhawk looks to be even better than the original, but I?ll be renting it first.
Skyrim looks to be huge but I will definitely be renting it first. Even then, if it?s worth owning, I?ll get it for the PC. I?m never buying the console version of a Bethesda game ever again; especially not on the ps3. Besides the ability of modders to add new content, they?re usually the first ones to get a Bethesda game running properly.

So while I don't want to endorse any particular service (the one I use could certainly use improvements), I would definitely suggest renting for you.
