This Gen has had more amazing console rpg's than the last gen. I assume you're only counting the Wii, 360 and PS3 in this and not the handheld consoles.
Just on the jrpg side we've had Enchanted Arms, Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, Eternal Sonata, Tales Of Vesperia, Tales of Graces, Resonance of Fate, Final Fantasy XIII and XIII-2 etc, let alone all the Western RPG's like Oblivion, Fallout, Skyrim, the Mass Effect trilogy..
Hardly dead, and probably more quality titles than last Gen's

Well, Final Fantasy and the Tales of series has been here all along and so has the Mass Effect series. Witcher 2 and Diablo III are PC ports.
This gen has been starved of good JRPG's and most of what you listed aren't JRPG's. There has been no shortage of WRPG's.
^^
Though the FF and Tales series have been in decline since their PS2 days with FF hitting rock bottom last year and digging themselves even deeper with 13-2.
FF I'll admit hasn't been great since IX but the tales series continues to go from strength to strength. Vesperia was a brilliant game
