This year really seems bleak, even more so for PC gamers, or at least myself. I was considering replacing my old piece of junk, but then i realised that there is no reason to, maybe if Witcher 3 doesn't work properly and Dragon age turns out decent this time. Then theres dark souls 2 if it's ported properly this time. After checking the releases it doesn't seem all that bad, there are a lot of potentially good games, but then again that site had half-life 3 listed for 2014 for some reason.
Can you explain to me how this year seems bleak? Cause from what I can see this year looks like it's going to be a good one. Also if your computer couldn't handle Witcher 3 or if Dark Souls 2 doesn't get ported properly you could always get them on PS4/Xbox one/PS3/Xbox 360? Unless you just don't like consals?
I did mention that it seems like a crappy year for ME. There simply aren't that many interesting titles coming out and i don't plan on buying a console for various reasons.
i must have not seen the "ME" part then. Even though i saw the PC gamer part.

there a decent number of games coming out this year.. and i don't even own a next gen console.. Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja: Storm Revolution, Persona 4 arena DLC ( aka Ultimax Ultra Suplex Hold) Tales of Xillia 2 (as well as the first Tales of Xillia since I didn't play the first one yet), Watch Dogs, BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma,Tales of Symphonia Chronicles and a bunch of games from last year I've yet to play.. i think me and my PS3 are going to be pretty busy this year..

January and February are the classic dumping ground for bad video games and movies. Just hold on, we'll make it through as we do every year.

I think it will be a bad year but that's mainly due to the adaptation to new consoles. It's always the same when a new generation comes out. There's a wave of underwhelming launch titles, a stream of the same old IP's bringing out games before the bulk of the good stiff starts coming out. Chin up, take a little time to make a little better, namsayin?

Okay guys I get it, I shouldn't let a couple of bad games dictate the outcome of this year. I just also have this bad feeling for some unknown reason that we're gonna get a aliens:colonial marines or two this year I don't know why. Maybe I should be more optimistic.
Well, if you are like me we are just coming off 2013. For me, 2013 was one of the 'worst' years for a long time. TLoU and Tomb Raider came out in first quarter and I was done for the year. I got 2 games last year. However, I saw it as a good thing because 2010-2012 released so many games I still have yet to make it through it gave me 2013 to catch up... which I squandered for the most part. Now this year I am already staring down South Park, AoW3, Gal Civ 3, Kingdom Under Fire 3, and probably more I am forgetting. Every time I look at my "games to get this year" checklist I am like ".... dammit". My backlog is quickly becoming a pipe dream. I actually need like 2 more "dead years" just to get through it. But with a new generation having just hit and publishers trying to pump out games for the new tech I doubt I am gonna catch that break for another 4 years at least as my PC can handle next gen.

Incidentally, id this could be the 2nd crappiest, what was the crappiest?
Probably the year that E.T. made the entire gaming industry crash like a drunk teenager off a cliff.
Yes, the crappiest was 1983.

Does a year still have more that 2 months? Just correct me if I am wrong?

I wonder...
