Also sort of related I just played dwarf fortress (and actually managed to do something for once!)
The violence in adventure mode is brutal [small]I spent 5 minuites scratching a guy in the eyes and biting his ears off until I let him bleed to death in puddle of his own vomit...[/small]

If any game in which you only kill things that aren't people don't count against you, then Iron Brigade, which I'm playing as I type this. If we're counting any game in which something can be killed by you the only thing I can think of is the waiting game. I have to play that game a lot whenever I use my computer.

I downloaded a free "Build your own theme-park!" kind of app from EA, and was very dissapointed. You only get the most basic rides and shops for free, everything else costs money.

Yea, I heard about that... Why the hell port/remake (I dunno really... not looked at it) and give people free trial versions a game that was made well over a decade and a half ago, if not longer, and then force people to pay to play it? Talk about lazy ways of trying to make money!

OT: I didn't actually play it, but I watched people play Rock Band... if that doesn't count, I did recently download Bejeweled 3
