I've actually done this before with Smackdown vs Raw 2009. Twice. In my student halls I had no money for food and was bored off my arse so I just kept playing through the game. After about 10 hours it became a challenge to see how long I could go on for. The magical figure being 24 hours.

Good times.

Usually when I get a game I tend to just focus all my time on it until it's done. So I could name a lot of games. I think an MMO like WoW would suprisingly be the one that wouldn't make me fall asleep... however when I hit tired mode it's inevitable that I'll fall asleep. I can't control it =/

Fallout 3, maybe Assassin's Creed 2 though I never timed how long a play-though takes, KotOR, Jade Empire, and Mass Effect.

I'd play through Icewind Dale a second time, unbelievably awesome game and I'd probably finish right at 24 hours.

Some MMO would work best. Chatting around would keep me awake when the gameplay itself would start to get boring, plus i could endlessly just grind for greater good. Being able to smoothly switch between PvE and PvP activities would help to make the whole thing more varied too.
Any singleplayer or shooter game would just become tedious after more than 8 hour straight.

I have before but for 72 hours, a mix of final fantasy 12 and kingdom hearts 2 ^_^ 13 was to linear but i never liked 12 that much anyway, so after 42 hours of 12 i dicided to put in kh2 for good measure now thats a sweet game!

Morrowind, Fallout 3, Final Fantasy VII or any PvP game by Valve lol.
Morrowind cause I love that game so much. I have logged a lot of time in Oblivion, but I prefer Morrowind. Fallout 3 is also better than Oblivion. And TF2, L4D, L4D2, CSS. All good. Of course, any good MMO would work too.

Good choice. I need to get back into this game, I finished UFO Defense and intended to start on it next, but I never got around to it.

I'm one of the types that can enjoy playing anything for a length of time, as long as it has a little bit of sandboxy elements, just by making up my own stories or missions and doing things with it.

So, probably GTA4, turn off the cellphone, and have fun. :D
