My opinion on the gaming forums is that people like Western RPGs, First Person Shooters, and Real Time Strategy games too much, and other genres not enough. Also, the number of PC elitists is too damn high!

As far as video game forums/websites is concerned, I sadly feel like that the Escapist doesn't serve it's purpose very well. NeoGAF is much more fun. It's too bad that it's difficult to sign up for NeoGAF. But it's well worth it and I find the topics about video games to be wonderful. You can look at the first page of games and be guaranteed to find a good video game topic that is relevant to your interests. I wish that the Escapist was more like NeoGAF.

Any desire I have to come here is to visit the off-topic section. Which is ironic because that means this forum doesn't serve the purpose it is supposed to serve. I like talking about video games and mostly sign up for video gaming websites/forums, but with the Escapist it's really only good for the off-topic.

Glad to see you still love us even as we act out, act weird, derail, quarrel and obsess over multiple things. I am also quite fond of this site for all its flaws. The day this place stops being fun to post in is the day I walk away. I don't think that day is coming for a long, long time.

I lurked for years, too, before joining up just a couple of months ago. I think a lot of us did that.

I agree that the forums here are a far more civil than most are, and giving the devils their due, I have to admit the mods are largely responsible for that.

Note: And this is from me after I just received my first warning. I made the doofus mistake of misinterpreting 'Low Content' for 'Low Brow', not minimal posting.

So I didn't really pay attention to the posting rules. Since I'm civil and clean as a rule I didn't figure I needed to. So much for that.

But I really like her Music, which is why I Take her on every playthrough.
