Tomorrow Never Dies was his best Bond film, though GoldenEye and The World Is Not Enough were both very good. Die Another Day started strongly (the Hovercraft chase made for one the best opening sequences) but most of what came after wasn't great.kinglovejoy said:I own the Wii version and while its not a bad game, the fact that Sean Bean isn't 006 just feels so very wrong. I still don't see the point of modernising it. Sure it can be more relevant to today's issues, but who cares? The story was fine the way it is and putting Craig in only removes one more triumph Brosnan had as Bond. The guy had what, one - maybe two - decent Bond films. Give him his game back you swines!

Wait no, nevermind... I see your point now.
I'm still alive...?

And you agree with me?
This is the best day EVAR!

And back to the OP, can i ask whether this is just a port of the Wii game?
I'm gonna stop derailing now anyway xD
I've never understood those arguments, we can have original games set in these periods but remakes need to accommodate the time?YesConsiderably said:Tomorrow Never Dies was his best Bond film, though GoldenEye and The World Is Not Enough were both very good. The story does need modernising not only to accommodate the current times, but also the grittier, darker tone Craig brings to the role.
It doesn't have Pierce Brosnan. Therefore, it fails and won't be the FPS of the year. Not to mention that it's a remake of the year-old Wii GoldenEye remake. Do your homework next time. And really, do you think that it'll do something that's sooo much different in terms of gameplay compared to, say, CoD or something? Really?YesConsiderably said:Uhm, it's a brand new game and it's due out in late October. It's a modernised story and the tone will be changed to suit Daniel Craig's Bond.
Ugh...because we want good ol' Bond to be another cookie-cutter action hero like we've seen so many of. Bond films used to be their own freakin' genre, with the dashing, smashing rogue that threw around puns and seduced more women than he fired bullets. Buuuuut nooooo...YesConsiderably said:The story does need modernising not only to accommodate the current times, but also the grittier, darker tone Craig brings to the role.
I thought the game was just a remake of the remake they did for the wii version of GoldenEye.YesConsiderably said:Uhm, it's a brand new game and it's due out in late October. It's a modernised story and the tone will be changed to suit Daniel Craig's Bond.
Daniel Craig is James Bond, so yeah... this remake does need to accommodate that.Vault Citizen said:I've never understood those arguments, we can have original games set in these periods but remakes need to accommodate the time?YesConsiderably said:Tomorrow Never Dies was his best Bond film, though GoldenEye and The World Is Not Enough were both very good. I enjoyed the movies, but the literary Bond is the more interesting character.Cowabungaa said:It doesn't have Pierce Brosnan. Therefore, it fails and won't be the FPS of the year. Also, your comment about Battlefield players was just derogatory and unnecessary.Ugh...because we want good ol' Bond to be another cookie-cutter action hero like we've seen so many of. And yes, I know Ian Flemming's Bond was more like the Craig character, but that doesn't matter. In Flemming's day a character like that was completely revolutionary. Nowadays we're almost swamped in them and something like the Connery or Brosnan Bond would actually stand out.
*breathes in and out*
Yes, as you can see, I'm quite the Bond fan. Movie Bond.
If that is true then there is only one solution, kick Daniel Craig out of the game and either try to get Brosnan back or get a new actor for the game.YesConsiderably said:Daniel Craig is James Bond, so yeah... this remake does need to accommodate that.Vault Citizen said:I've never understood those arguments, we can have original games set in these periods but remakes need to accommodate the time?YesConsiderably said:Tomorrow Never Dies was his best Bond film, though GoldenEye and The World Is Not Enough were both very good. If this is anything like the Wii Goldeneye that was developed by the same people and released many months ago, I'd say pass, but apparently a whole lot of people disagree with me. I will point out, however, that the scale is slightly different when you're talking about a shooter for the Wii.YesConsiderably said:GoldenEye: Reloaded. In preperation, i'm going to be watching each of the 22 007 films over the coming month in order to ensure that all of Bond's quips are fresh in my mind, so that i never miss the opportunity to throw out a relevant quote while pwning n00bs on the multiplayer mode.
I did this on Treyarch's masterpiece, Quantum of Solace, a lot too... though i'm hoping GoldenEye will offer more opportunity. In QoS, the most i could do is kill someone by shooting some electrical panelling and declaring "shocking, positively shocking" or meleeing someone off a roof and telling him "time to face gravity".
I've also had my tuxedo freshly pressed, and will see to it that my drinks cabinet is stocked with Gordon's gin and some Kina Lillet. I have a couple of bottles of Stolichnaya vodka, so don't need to worry about that.
October 25th is going to be awesome. Especially as most of the retarded members of the FPS community will be busy pew pewing each other on Battlefield, like brutes.
I can't wait.
that'd be damn awesome.. HD graphics, better AI, all awesomeness.Pyramid Head said:Golden Eye? Uh... yeah, that game might have been good in N64 days, but we made much better shooters in the same console generation. I'll save my enthusiasm for a Deus Ex HD remake.
