I own both, and only get exclusives for the PS3. Every other game I get for the 360.

I only buy exclusives for my 360 now, everything else I get for my PS3. It's quieter, more comfortable and polite.

Usually I get the said superior version, if there isn't one, then at the moment I've been buying them for PS3, mainly to balance how many games I have for it out compared to the 360. (I've got around 10 PS3 games, and 40 360 games)

Occasionally get games for PC too. Usually the shooters like Left 4 Dead.

PS3 isn't worth my time. 360 and PC for me.
That wasn't the question. Read the Question.(Should be - Read the question please)
Yes and I was trying to add to the conversation even though I don't have both. Sheesh I even changed the caps in the quote because there is no reason to get so mad over something so insignificant.
Sorry, man, I slightly over-reacted =) Apologies to you.

There is currently dust collecting on my PS3, It's not that I don't want to play it, but I want to sell mine and get a new one, until then I will play my Xbox 360.

Multiplayer games for the Xbox and singleplayer games for the PS3.

This is because my friends have Xboxes so I can multiplay with them. I singleplay on the PS3 because (watch out, opinion incoming) it is better, apart from the controllers.
I prefer the Dualshocks (oh no I'm calling them by the official name, I'M A FANBOY!) over the Xbox ones, I can play Half Life 2 and Crackdown no problems, but any other game I get cramps.
I was raised on the playstation controller, I had a Playstation then a PS2 followed by a PS3; the Xbox is the last console I bought. What I'm trying to say is I never thought I'd end up preferring the Xbox controller to the Playstation one, but I do.

The main reason is because I have huge hands, the Xbox controllers fit my hands but the comparably tiny Playstation ones do not, they feel like a toy version. I always end up with gamers cramp after a decent session on the Playstation but not after an extended time on the Xbox. It's a purely ergonomic reason, nothing else to it.
Really? thats strange, I have huge plate like hands and thats the reason I don't like the Xbox controller, I get cramp after 3 minutes with the thing.

I don't play games for any longer time than 1 hour so I'm not too sure if thats a marathon gaming session to you.

Although what we can conclude is your opinion is different to mine, ergo it is wrong.

I have both, but prefer to play on PS3. I'm more accustomed to the PS controller, and I have one of the release Xbox 360's, so the component cable doesn't deliver as good HD as PS3 does via HDMI.

Also, I get a bit wary of buying games for 360, mainly because I don't want to get halfway through a great game I could've got for PS3 and have it RRoD AGAIN. Seriously, all the way through playing Mass Effect 2, part of me was just waiting for it to brick. It's the most unreliable piece of hardware I've ever owned, and I own a guitar amp from the 60's...

THE DS!
Just kidding.
The graphics are the same MOSTLY.
It's all about online.
I own the 360, so I can't really judge.
I also own a Wii, but I know that's flame bait.

Technically he had no reason at all to answer in this thread as he does not own the both consoles named in the OP, hence couldn't even answer the question even if he wanted to.
LordNue said:
Actually no, he didn't. His answer implies he does not have a ps3, the topic very clearly asks a specific target peoples, those who own both a 360 and a ps3, the question being which they favour if any. Not whether you have both or not.
While the question does ask for the percentage who own both, he has answered that he doesn't need one as supposedly there are no games that interest him.

That's a answer in itself and it doesn't warrent the following response...

OK EVERYONE, THE SHIT STORM STOPS NOW!.

While AmmoKid did answer the question he wasn't part of the intended target demographic, you are all correct in your own way and now your just arguing over the semantics of the situation not the situation itself.

A bit a self moderation would be good right now, lets all kiss and make up.

Come on everyone gather round *PINKY BEST FRIENDS!*

I tend to buy a multiplatform game on whatever system runs it better. I would have preferred the PS3 for Bayonetta but went for the 360 version for obvious reasons. I have at least 20 games on each system.

Though to truely answer your question, if I had no knowledge about the differences between the system for a particular game I would get it on PS3.

I got my PS3 mainly because I like the odd games that don't tend to turn up on the 360. Cross Edge and Disgaea. Never regret getting Valkyria Chronicles or Blood Curse either.

I have both (and a Wii, which I use more than the other two put together :p), and I'd say that I almost only use the PS3 for gaming, except when it's a 360 exclusive. It's just personal preference, but the PS3 feels better to use somehow :p

Couldn't have said it better myself.

Seriously, that is odd. I mean I see it as a logical thing, Japanese people are generally considerably smaller than I am and so will have a controller that is designed to fit their (smaller) hands. Western people are, well they're still mostly smaller than me but, generally bigger than the Japanese and so have hardware that is made for slightly larger people.

I guess it just comes down to what you are used to initially, I found it hard to get used to the Xbox originally but once I had I preferred it. Tomaytoe tomahtoe and all that.

One final thing, a marathon session for me is an embarrassing eight hours or so. They don't happen very often, and when they do I emerge the other side somewhat shellshocked and 'basic' (give food, need wee), but they are good fun.

Have both, too cheap for Live, Computer is getting fix'd.
Some of my friends have 360s, They're the assholes of my friends list
My Best buddy's Ps3 broke while we we're CO-OP-ing Borderlands, lol, Now he keeps badgering me to get Live.
I get all my Multi for PS3, And sometimes I'll get a 360 Exclusive, Hve yet to complete Mass Effect...
It's a bit harder to find Online Pals with the 360 IMO got 7(ppl I don't know, Really cool people, Not your average xbot), Also I don't feel like the shooters are any better but the competition takes each match seriously (Probably because they're paying for every moment)
I liked the XBOX last Gen, Was a Beast of a machine (Endless Save Space, Only Decent online, MGO1 Sucked, Etc.)
Yeah, Just my look at it and a bit why
1 thing PS3 is pissing me off with is the DLC coming out on repackaged games A kick in the ass to anyone who bought it early/ Pre-Ordered it T_T

What an epic reversal, I have been beating by the wittier man here!.

Well the western Dualshocks are 17% larger than the Japanese ones to accomadate our bigger hand spans, which is strange because the PS3 itself is bigger than most Japanese cars.

One final thing, a marathon session for me is an embarrassing eight hours or so. They don't happen very often, and when they do I emerge the other side somewhat shellshocked and 'basic' (give food, need wee), but they are good fun.

Although I prefer them about the same, I always find myself using my xbox the most, and almost any multiplatform game I'll get on the 360

When my mate got his PS3, he decided to get Just Cause 2 for it at the same time. He said that it'd look better on it than the 360 so he got it. The problem was that he couldn't hook his PS3 up to his monitor so he had to use the TV downstairs on a low resolution..

Oh and 10 hours in he got a glitch where he couldn't rotate (so he was constantly stuck in one direction) and the sound was broken. He had to wipe his save.

Good times!

Personally if I had both I'd go for the 360 because of the gamerscore and the controller. I find the PS3 one too light and you can slip off the triggers too easily. Oh and like my mate I'm not sure if hooking it up to my monitor would work like it does with my 360.
