I'm on my third 360 at this point in time. Sinisterly enough, the two I had previously both RROD'ed during Fable 2. Coincidence, or perhaps something more...?

mwahaha .. if you had got a ps3 this would've never happened
No but he probably would have got the drive failure instead, not as wide spread granted but still turing out to be a big issue for the big black beast.
big issue?? holy crap dude about 5 or 6 people had it world wide ROTFLMAO ... the 360 on the other hand .. well .. lets say EVERY person i have ever known that owns a 360 had the ring of fire at least once ... at least ROTFL .. no one i know with a ps3 has had drive failure yet
It's the Red ring of Death, for starters and stop saying ROTFL it's stoopid
Wait I've got to take a picture of this, yep another typical ps3 fanboy who overuses rofl and can't even spell it right.

I have a question. For those who have sent theirs in. Do you lose all your data? I.e. do they take the hard drive???
No, you never send in your harddrive or any other peripherals.

I've had mine fry twice and after the second time, I bought a PS3. Now I buy all multiplatform games only for the PS3 and use the Xbox 360 only for exclusives and for streaming movies from my PC.

I choose to ignore what share the PS3 has until they can release some exclusive titles I just may give a shat about. I need more than one reason (MGS4) to shell out $500-600 for it.
You have exceptionally high standards.

:O
Well, when you're one of those older gamers that likes to think games used to be a lot better in the old days, you get that way. Yeah I'm one of those,I openly admit it.

(Joke)I don't know why they strive to be the best with games like MGS4 and GTAIV when the best game ever, International Karate on Commodore 64, was already made! :D (/joke)

I've had mine for two months and aside from having to preform my own home repair on the A/V connection plug that goes into the system, it's working fine so far.

damn sorry to hear about your system melt dude, that sucks, being without a games machine no matter which one would suck soo bad.

the thing that gets me through all these reports of broken xbox360s is that media still slams sony for having a rubbish system, the RRoD is always conveniently, shooshed, and MS is patted on the back, but this is an issue (SERIOUS ISSUE)that needs adressing, good to see that link that can fix the problems but we'll see.

Obviously you wouldn't get RRoD. However I have a lot of friends who had to get their PS3's replaced because the lens burned itself out. RRoD xcan be prevented and even fixed sometimes. How many regular users do you think can replace a blu-ray lens?
so what .. you can't even begin to compare the win to fail ratio "mwahaha" .. and like all you 360 fanboys .. they got their ps3 replaced ... so lets compare ... almost every 360 ever purchased has crashed at one point .. then they send it off and get a new one .. now .. less than 1% of every ps3 ever purchased burns out .... they send it off and get a new one .. well there you ahve it

The day hath finally cometh!

Well, I suppose I got one good year out of it. Thank god for my 3 year warranty.

Anyone else have RROD today? :)
Sorry to hear about that. It's happened to me before, and it's annoying, to say the least. The good news is, once you send your console back to Microsoft, and they send it back, fixed, you most likely won't ever have to worry about it Red-Ringing again. It hasn't happened to me in months since it got fixed. And you've got your warranty, so all you'll have to worry about is the wait itself.

No, but I've been there. Right after getting Halo 3
Fuck me too, boy was that a hard month.

Anyways I've had my current 360 since December 5, I've played it for several hours a day because of Oblivion, sure hope this doesn't make it die quickly.
