5 Hours to Barricade your home.

I know there is a lot of Forums on zombies, but here's one more. You have 5 hours to barricade your home from zombies. You can only use items you have in your home(the shed counts). How would you do it?


As an afterthough to those who would ask, you can't leave the area, it's chaos. And you have no gun's or bullet's.

EDIT: I meant to say that you can't leave for a week. You can not leave because the road's are blocked, it is chaos AND THERE IS ZOMBIE'S.

EDIT 2: You can leave your house IF you are getting item's to barricade with AND is only 30 second's away.

EDIT 3: They are the slow moving zombie's, and you just don't have guns and bullets, ok?

I have no ability to barricade my home, so I'd simply steal from the local supermarket (it's thirty second's walk away, so it's in the area) and bunker up in the attic for six months. I'd come out and either find more survivors or get eaten (depending on how the rest of the world fared). Or, I'd commit suicide. Zombies scare the hell out of me.

If zombies attacked and I was at home I'd be fucked, we have far too many glass windows/doors on the ground floor, I'd have to block off whole rooms rather than just possible entrances.

Also, the notion we can't leave completely messes up the hypothetical situation, because we would all starve to death eventually.

I'd just put everything I could infront of the doors.

Desks, tables, chairs, family member, etc.

Yeah, I'd bar up all the entrance doors into the house using the biggest pieces of furniture, bring all the supplies I need upstairs into the biggest room, destroy the staircase, and make an escape route out of the window.

I wouldn't barricade my home.

I would simply take all my belongings, weapons, and food up to the second floor, and then cover the stairs in oil.

Unless, we're dealing with those bloody new age running zombies, in which case, I'd use my parents as a barricade...

True, that was pure win.

I'd probably steal from the shop up the road, then yeah try and block up the stairs. Probably lock myself in the bathroom since its the only door with a lock, just plie stuff up against the door. And then clear out the window so I have an escape route if they get in Dx

I wouldn't barricade my place at all, that would leave me stuck on the 4th floor (I live in an apartment) with an army of zombies my way. I'd probably tunnel my way out of the city or something. Running is the best option.

Smash stairs, live in attic. I have a fire escape ladder that I could use to get down, and the whole place is furnished and heated. I would be fine.

I live on the 13th floor in an apartment. I'd spend the first four hours bringing up canned food from the shop on the ground floor, then the last hour barricading the entrance to my apartment with beds, chairs, and couches.

I figure the one or two zombies that actually shamble by chance up thirteen flights of stairs won't have much luck breaking through that.
