I love David Wong, but ever since John Cheese joined the Cracked staff, it seems half the articles are just rants about getting older, and how apparently everyone else is inexorably going to wind up married and living in the suburbs with two kids and a mortgage as they get older, as if that's the only hallmark of maturity.

It's like there's a communicable midlife-crisis-inducing disease running through the Cracked offices, and John Cheese was patient zero.

The only difference between me today and me years ago is I actually beat games now. Years ago I would spend half of my play time pretending a piece of scenery is a boss or something else completely unrelated to plot or game play. Maybe that's what people are really missing. The ability to not care about the game at all, even if it's one you like.

ITT: People reading half an article/the title of an article and over reacting to their misinterpretation.

O/T I actually really enjoyed the article. I think a lot of people just need to realise that this is just an opinion piece.

Today's games are a tad longer compared to around 10-15 years ago... Multiplayer has become more of a broken record and everyone makes a fuss about bosses being too easy. Those who QQ about hard bosses have never faced Yiazmat from FFXII.

I'm sorry not to troll or anything but Yiazmat was not hard at all. Just very long. Hell his health would stay where it was even if you left the battle and came back 10 hours later :D

Anyway i found that article very funny. It's obvious satire, and actually him making fun of the people who do moan about games not being as good as they use to be.
It's funny i'm only 19, so i'm not at the age where i'm like that yet. But i have a little brother who's 4, and this reminds me of him. It bores me to tears watching him wander around on my already beaten Zelda Twilight Princess file. Yet he can just wander for hours getting absolutely nothing done.
