Metal Gear Online had a good way to solve this. Players were invulnerable after spawn for about 5 seconds or until they fired their weapon; attempting to spawn camp was a good way to get killed.
That wouldn't really work. Imagine your playing honestly and someone spawns, you try to shoot them then they just kill you. I've been playing honestly and had someone spawn in front of me I killed them of course but it would've been unfair to just have him turn around and shoot me.

Yeah, the spawns are bad, but did anyone notice how much of a little prick the guy in the OP's video was? If the MP is bad, don't play it. I'm a firm believer of Yathzee's philosophy that a game should be able to stand up on single-player alone. The only COD MP I've played recently is Black Ops, with bots. But that's just me. If I don't like a game's MP, I don't play it.

Maps were more polarized in that game though; there was your side and the enemy side, so you knew when you were in potential spawn areas. Also, there was more of a stealth component to that game (it was metal gear after all) so sometimes you could sort of spawn camp by wall hugging and waiting for people to run past, hiding underneath something or however you preferred to stealth. The maps were very well designed to encourage hiding :p.

The online community for that game sort of died a long while ago and its hard to fill a game these days.... so sad D :

I wish they remade the multiplayer for the HD re-release pack. A good stealthy multiplayer game is what the world needs right now and that wouldn't work for call of duty because team areas are constantly shifting to meet the front lines or objective. I don't believe there's a fix with 0 chance of spawn killing.

Yeah call of duty games have often been very heavily based on "spawn trapping" which truly does suck for all of the gaming society. Things like thius rarely happen but they honestly do ruin a game quickly.

I know what game I'm not going into. If spawns are even half as bad as this shit in MW3, I'm going to continue to not buy Modern Warfare games. That kind of stuff would probably do something really bad to my blood pressure.

I know right! Whenever I attempt stealth in other games I'm mic spammed for camping >.< I never realized running around in the open like a fucking maniac was the right way to fight.

No multiplayer in HD collection though? I am disappointed D :

Honestly, when I read the thread title I was unable to avoid getting the image of this guy in my head.

That's seems like a freak occurrence. I've been playing MW3 for a while now and nothing like that has happened to me. Gotta admit I've spawned in some shitty places before.
At least MW3 has better spawns than Gears 3, *shudders*.

Never had that happen to me before in MW3, the spawns for me are usually fine.

And this is why the Battlefield franchise has always been superior. I have MW3, mind you. Played it online for about a week before letting it collect dust and playing BF3 every night.
This I can agree with.

Everytime I go back to MW3 to brush up on my gameplay, I'm reminded why BF3 is so much better. Even the console version beats MW3 hands down. And exploits like the OP just seal the deal.
