Now speaking about males... How many of you guys can really honestly say that you didnt ripe mosqitos legs etc. when you were young? I did but i was kid and was curious what would happen...
Dont expect higher logical thoughts about coincidences when we are speaking youngers than ten year old.

Where exactly do you live. I want to avoid this place where all eight year olds don't realize anything living, that is larger then a bug, is alive and shouldn't be abused.

Sure I have seen three year olds treating an animal like a toy, but by eight the kid knew better and did it anyway.

I didn't rip off the legs of mosquitos, but I made a sport of killing as many flies as possible when I was young. But there's a difference between killing bugs and killing a dog. By the time you're eight years old you should know better, eight year olds aren't babies anymore you know. They go to school and already have to take responsibility for their actions. Any normal kid older than four knows better than this brat, he just did it for the sake of killing something, not because he didn't know better or was curious and that's dangerous behavior.

Oh, and you probably don't have pets. If anyone were to hurt my dogs I'd hunt them down and kill them.

About children with AKs: I would dare to say that these kids have little choice on the matter whereas this kid did have a choice and killed merely for his own sadistic enjoyment.

It's not the only place that matter, but it's where I live and most people on the Escapist live and therefore it matters the most for the people here. And how did the kids with guns part fly over my head? If you're talking about child soldiers, they're usually taken against their will at a very young age and trained to kill from then on.

And if it does happen a lot with anything other than bugs(too lazy to research, maybe you could provide some sources since you know so much better) than not where I live and it's never in any sort of news outlet, or at least never when I listen/read/watch the news and the children that do that should all be sent to therapy because there's something wrong with them.

Ye , I too live in the western world and know about 10-12 people that killed animals as children.Mind you I've spent most of my childhood summer vacations abroad (in the countryside) and know kids that have done it in my own country-Bulgaria,Romania,Spain,Germany,Italy and the Czech Republic.Mind you that in fact I have never harmed an animal.

If you want sources go talk you your parents or grandparents and ask them if they or somebody they know has harmed an animal when they where little.

I'm pretty sure when I was 8 I understood the general concept of what would happen if I stabbed something alive. I'm not sure if all children had the pleasure of having as many trips to the ER for trauma as I did, so this might not be common knowledge at 8.

I really don't know about the story. Was it just a "kid being a stupid as kids are wont to do" or is there actually something wrong with him? Hell, when I was 8 I thought GI Joe was badass, so clearly I'm in no position to judge.

It actually been proven that something upwards of 70% of all serial murders engaged in either frequent abuse and killing of small animals or arson when they were young. multiple times.

It's also been proven that 100% of all rapists breath. DID YOU JUST INHALE YOU FILTHY MOTHER- statistics like that are meaningless.

Not really, breathing is something all humans do, whereas not all humans partake in the needless killing of household pets or small woodland creatures, or setting shit on fire.

I don't know what kind of childhood you had, but most people I know killed frogs and lit ants on fire as children, and even as teens. Sure, a pet is too far, but it's not that surprising that some kid's gonna go that far up, even if I don't like that he did.

To be fair, an ant compared to a small dog on a leash is a very good gap in comparison. Ants are just ants, a small dog is someone's close friend, a domesticated pet. And from the sounds of this, he took his time with the torturing/killing. "Normal" kids don't do that.
