Prince of Persia, the recent one with the cel-shady graphics.

The game is painful from start to finish, and every last bit of gameplay is exactly the same.
They have a thing for making EVERY boss battle exactly the same too, only slightly more annoying each time.

I got near the end of the game and was ambushed by some annoying miniboss. The 21st incarnation of the same boring combat routine only slightly longer than last time.
It crossed the line there and i just accepted it for what it was. A terrible terrible game.

I think I've only 100%'d was Destroy All Humans! 2, and nothing else. I've simply finished the campaign of most games. As for games I didn't finish, Half-Life 2 is up there, along with every GTA game I've ever played.

I've yet to complete Mass Effect 2, Bioshock 2, Super Mario Galaxy, Lost Odyssey, Viking: Battle for Asgard, Dead Space and Battlefield: Bad Company 2. They're the ones I've got a considerable way in (25% or further in) and left. Just Cause 2 would be on that list as well, but I made myself complete the story missions knowing that if I didn't, it'd be left uncompleted like the aforementioned games. I like the games, I just can't be bothered playing them, I think it's because I really want Red Dead Redemption, and I look at a game and think "yeah it's cool, BUT IT'S NOT RED DEAD REDEMPTION", so I go back on my PC and play Garry's Mod or something. It took me well over a year to complete FarCry 2, so I'll probably complete these too.. eventually.

Shadow of the Colossus.

It's amazing, but There's a colossus I can't beat (the one with the stones sticking out of his head, which you hit to make him move or change direction.)

Final Fantasy 7, I was quite close to the end however I had lost interest in it. I then realized that it was unlikely I would ever regain interest in it and returned it to my buddy.

FF12 because I hate it, Oregon Trail because dysentery is a ***** and I can't carry 3 tons of jerky with me, Oblivion because it just wont end.
Ack! Oregon trail! I don't know if anyone ever finished that. Hardest game ever.

OT:
DonkeyKong64. I know so many people love that game, but honestly, I don't get it. Endless repetitive collecting just for the sake of collecting is not fun people.

Yeah, being a 360 player, I doubt I would have finished the game if I had access to mods for it myself. But seeing as I haven't, I shall plough through the story for the 6th time. I have no idea why this has earned so much replayability.

OT: FF VIII and IX.

FF VIII due to a disc problem. By which I mean it froze up and wouldn't let me play. And I never finished IX as it bored me. Oh, and Dragon Age. I got bored for some reason after 15 hours and trying to get all the treaties, I think they were treaties anyway, signed.

I never finished Crackdown because they changed the rules on the last section of the city. Everywhere else you could grab onto any window sill. There, you could only grab onto certain window sills. There was no way of knowing which was which until you tried to grab it. Also because the jumps there are so huge your target area is off camera most the time.

Halo 1&2 I never finished because fighting the flood was a chore instead of fun. Some racing games I don't finish because it just gets monotonous after a while. Luckily, I only rented GTA4. I never finished it because of his annoying friends & how the cars handled. I loved how they handled in GTA3 & VC.

I usually don't finish a third of my games because I just lose interest.

So, the other day I was going through my game collection and discovered 'Rogue Warrior,' and realized I never actually finished it. Upon reinstalling it I realized why.

But this brings me to the question of have there ever been any games you've never finished? And if so, why?
How could you forget why you never finished it? That game was beyond awful. It was like drinking scientific grade nitric acid.

Yakuza 2. It's really long, and I got Yakuza 3 and just watched the plot highlights from there.
Demon's Souls. Shit just keeps getting in the way, and I'd have to kind of re-learn how to play that game before I can push forward again. I'll finish it sometime during the PS3 era though. I promise.
Just about every platformer without a good story. Because I'd get bored within 2 hours.

Never beaten Oblivion, the story anyways.
I just keep making new Characters to try out different styles or return to old styles.

Haven't beaten Chrono Trigger.
Somehow made it where both my team and the enemies can 1-Shot each-other, so took a break after some grinding. Things came up and I have yet to return.

Never beat Blue Dragon.
This one I made a good bit of progress, then sorta got bored and took a break.
Sill on the break actually.

Never beat Phantom Hourglass.
Got to the last time I have to go through the tower, and got fed up with it.

Didn't beat Spirit Tracks either.
Bloody enemy train rammed into me after I carefully planned a way around it. So annoyed I did a rage quit.

There are more, but it would take a fair bit of time to find them.

EDIT: Methinks thou might not understand thou I have stated. Low behold, thy internet provide us divine knowledge. Beware of the taint.

It is because of this that I never finished that game.

The two that spring to mind that I never completed were C&C Tiberium Sun (the 2nd one in the series) and Red Alert 3.

C&C Tiberium Sun - I was 10 at the time, I found it hard and gave up. If I could get the free version to work, I'd play it again, but it doesn't so I won't.
Red Alert 3 - Completed the Japanese and Russian Campaigns, lost the will to live half way through the American Campaign.
