The majority owns food, in no way can they control all farmers and industries.
Exactly, the masses cannot be controlled. Lets see 5% of the world controll 95% of the world, there aren't enough bullets.

All power to the people.
bombs. not bullets. And you really only need a few well placed ones to do the job.
Why would money grubbing corporations blow up their own property?
Why would soldiers work for these people?
Why would armies hand over there weaponry (bombs etc) to people whom wish to kill 95% of the population?
Bombs have never been useful at killing an idea, an idealogy is bulletproof.
Well, money grubbing corporations would destroy there own property if it makes them more money, actually that happens quite alot(it's called fraud)
Why would soldiers work for money grubbing corporations?...uh, have you been living under a rock for these past few years? Soldiers are not always the strongest thinkers. They can usually be swayed easily with a dab of patriotism. Watch Zps lateset review on hawkx, you'll get the idea.
Good question, hmmmm, well there ARE these people called arms dealers who sell wmd's for a living. And once you conquer a contry they tend to be more helpful(usually).
An idealogy is anything but bullet proof. You cant stop people from thinking but you can control what they think about. But then look at the jews, their idealogy has been shot more than 50 cent, and they're still going strong.
You clearly have a very, lets say, black and white view of the world.
First of all I find you calling soldiers stupid offensive, quite a few of them are in fact going through college, but lack funds.

Money has no significance if theres no-one left to buy/nothing left to buy.
Blowing up the world is utterly pointless.

You cannot control what people think about, no matter what you do. Thats whats brilliant about humanity. Give me one example where every person in a country/regime has agreed with the views imposed upon them.

Don't use ZP's satire as citation, he is an entertainer/reviewer of videogames and should not be viewed in a political sense.

If you honestly think that arms dealers could provide enough Bombs to destroy the 'free' world then you are a fool. They build missile defense grids for a reason.

Generally people don't want to die, and it's unlikely you'll meet a person who will give their life for money.
What use is it to a dead man?
I DO NOT have a black and white view of the world. Im the grayest person there is. It's just people tend to underestimate the stupidity of other people.
Just because ZP is an entertainer doesn't mean he doesnt have an important point. Besides, he was reviewing Hawkx, which was produced by Tom Clancy. Someone who has actually war and political expeirience.
Your right in that you cannot control what A PERSON thinks. But you can control the group mentality. A person is smart, people are dumb. and its true. We live in a world where majority rules. There has probably never been a place where every body agreed on everything, even a little, but its not like WWII happened because hitler had a minority. And people don't die for money for themselves on purpose....i hope, but you know.... People do die for other people, pieces of dirt, idealogy, and yes money(not intentionally of course). If someone threatened to kill the one you love, etc.....Its not about money, it has, is and always will be about power. Wow that was actually B/W. Let me rephrase. I have hope for humanity. I love humanity but i am frustrated with the fact it keeps repeating fundamenatal mistakes. Humans ARE animals, and are suceptible to basic pathetic primal urges. I'm sorry but this is true. I really want the world to change. And if it takes a Private military /world domination scheme to do it then so be it. But we really need to change NOW.
Also, generally, yes, people want to die or consider suicide on an average of 1-5 times a year.
Actually Adolf Hitler was in charge of a minority right up until he became dictator. He was just clever about it. Stop turning this into Hitlerr by the way, thats the second time.

I disagree with you based off the fact, that I'm arguing over the article and you're arguing over the world.
This means any points I make will be rebutted by you, simply because we are working in different contexts.
I'm off to bed now, if you respond, or have any case's of private military groups who fight against they're own people with the hope of genocide for nothing other than money I will respond.
In the morning.
srry, i tend to get really off track the longer i rant. And i will see if i can find an example of what you said. I'm sure there is at least one.......

i think people generally over-estimate the governments power, its in their nature to control and they want you to over estimate, they like the idea of you thinking that they can do these things
Oh hell yeah they do - people act like 'The Man' and 'The Government' are some sort of multiheaded hydra, tentacles invading every room and place, aware of everything that happens. In truth, its a miracle governments don't just cave in every 5 minutes through sheer incompetence - or rather, incompetence induced by trying to live up to that madly high bar set by 'The Voters'.

I stopped reading when I got to the HIV/AIDS page and they started talking about 'toxic drugs'. Really, the only downside of the internet is all the stage it gives the crazies.
Welcome to the internet, where the men are men, the women are men, and the children are FBI agents ;)

Tom Clancy never served in the military (the ROTC rejected him due to a physical disability). He was never a war journalist or a Red Cross worker in a warzone or a military historian or a battlefield archaeologist or anything like that. So, not really much war experience.

Tom Clancy was never a politician. He was never an activist. He was never a political scientist or a social historian or a speech-writer or a pollster or anything of the sort. His major political experience is using his wealth to give campaign contributions to politicians he supports. So, not really much political experience, either.

Tom Clancy writes books. For a while he ran some kind of private business -- like, insurance or something. That's basically his life and career in a nutshell. At best, you can describe him as a guy who reads books and watches the news and maybe talks to people who might know stuff -- that's really the limit of his knowledge, though.

I don't want to say he's necessarily uneducated about this stuff, but, really, pick anyone with a first-hand experience of war or an academic background in studying the military and they'll totally school Tom Clancy on every point.

Moreover, the Tom Clancy name today is a brand. Works labeled as "Tom Clancy's" rather than "by Tom Clancy" are chiefly produced by ghost writers. His direct involvement with them is fairly limited. So, whatever his experience happens to be, not much is leaking through.

You speak truth!, I find it very funny when the Voters always blame the government for all fuck ups, that have ever happened, EVER. how i resented the hippy era my mother told me all about from first hand experience

I find it laughable that most of these people have resorted to Communist parties for their solutions to economics and corruption etcetera, that's a bit fucking backward, like paying a butcher to do dentist surgery.

Who cares? We deserve to die. That horrible 5% may survive, but 95% of the human population disappearing will do the planet a great favour.

This probably isn't true, anyway.

And yet you claim not to be a conspiracy nut?

Anywho, I avoid watching such videos because I learned the hard way once that conspiracy nuts will always omit key information and key facts from their 'evidence'.

Also, see...
Kudos. first time I've seen xkcd referenced here =]

I like the other scientist's idea better.

Not give birth for 5 years. Though that will be hard.

But these codex people sound like villians from a comic book! Isn't someone going to stop this? I'm sure many military leaders will just ignore the scientific fact and say "FUCK THEM!" when they see "billions of people will die"

You underestimate how many bullets there really are.
This is funnier by the fact that your avatar is Jesus.

If anything this type of control of food will only provoke more small-farming. Mass exoduses out of cities into surrounding countryside. This sounds like fun.

I know the print is small, but my avatar says "Even Jesus hates you."
