Now this is just plain pissing me off. I have been preaching this stuff to my friends and family for years, and do you know what they do? They ignore me like I'm crazy. People don't believe that stuff like this could happen anywhere but "them lunatic countries way on the other side of the world". The more I learn about history, (and at the same time how little people care) the more flaws I see in our society.

If we believe that something can't happen, then the easier it becomes to happen.


And yes, the masses can be controlled. It's been done before and it can be done anywhere so long as we let it.


P.S. Sorry about this being a bit of a mini-rant. I feel very strongly about things like this.

Okay, first things first, you claim that you aren't an angsty teenager, then in the center you say you realize you're an angsty teenager, then at the end you say that you aren't angsy again.
You choose to respond to my comment with a rant.
Yet, you call me immature.

I never said that "life sucks and you just have to deal with it". My life doesn't suck, so why would I bring that into a conversation? Interesting to see where your mind chooses to go.

Yes, you did say that you wanted to eliminate the primal urges out of mankind. Without primal instincts, we are nothing more than organic thought processors. Maybe we still have emotions, yes, but they will not be as intense. If you don't mean to imply something, then choose your wording carefully.

The economy is not in the best state of affairs, obviously. But this isn't the first time a "global crisis" has been tugging on the sleeves of citizens. The economy being in a slump doesn't reflect humanity as a whole. There is not way to have a "SMART" government as you say, because you stated that "...it will not work with the way humans are now." In order to have a smart government, then, you'd have to rewire humanity. Humans are only behaving the same way we always have.

The reason Hitler is such a fine example is because you said that you wouldn't mind a private military or world domination scheme. Military domination doesn't exactly have a history of working. If Jesus wanted to unite the world, I highly doubt that he would revert to an aggressive military tactic, nor would Ghandi. They preached peace, and the saying "If you want peace, prepare for war" is not one that must be taken seriously. Humans are driven to survive. If a military began encroaching their land they would fight it.

I liked how you used ZP's rant on Hawx (which took many shots at the American government), but you're little display of peace-propaganda made you seem like one of the soldiers he was insulting.

I hate to point this out to you, but anyone who has taken a Grade 10 Biology class knows that humans are animals. No one truly is bothered by that.

You said earlier that you believe that we are not capable of running a smart government, and yet you believe we're ready for superhumans? Please. Just think about that. You know, things dont have to be black and white. I realize im an angsty teenager. And I realize people stereotype way to much. And at the end I said "not so angsty". Next time read the rant. Also, yes intelligence is a trait that can be passed on through mating. Its not a 100% chance thing like all other genetic traits. But brain size and shape is crucial to development of intelligence.

We just got the chance to do it. So a truly good person would not get corrupted. And finally, I said we are currently incapable of self government. That was an exaggeration. No, intelligence is not a trait that can be passed on through mating. People on superior intellect can still have children who do not meet societal averages, much like people of sub par intellect can have extremely intelligent children. It's all random chance. I'll give you credit because you said it wasn't all 100%, but damn it, state your arguments thoroughly before just throwing them out there.

On the whole "murder" part, you're a tool. "Killing is killing. You can die instead of killing your attacker and take the absolute moral high ground." In all honesty, I can't truly think of a response to that, other than: That's fucking rediculous. Allowing yourself to be killed rather than killing someone else is not "good", it's not even logical. Anyone who chooses to do such a thing has been rightfully killed and had themselves properly tossed out of the gene pool. You said humans are animals. Even the lowliest of animals has the common sense to try and fight back/kill whatever is fighting/killing them. Hell, even most insects do.

I'm not the person who coined the phrase "Absolute power corrupts absolutely", so either you're (once again) not explaining yourself thoroughly, or you don't get out enough. It was coined for a reason. It accurately captures the past actions of humanity. There are very few people who have ever been truly altruistic (though that is debatable), but none of them were ever in a position of true authority. It doesn't take a genius to note the destructive tendencies of humans, but it takes a moron to think that they're all in the past.

I get what you're trying to say. But you keep flip flopping on your arguments, adding in more and more details as you go that weren't there originally. I guarantee you that this conversation would have been much shorter if you hadn't.
