I love it when a developers makes a type of game they're not usually known for.

Like for example when Capcom had Blue Castle Games, a developer known primarily for Baseball games, take over the Dead Rising franchise. Or when Rockstar developed that table tennis game.

I like to see developers get outside their comfort zone and see what they bring to the table.

So what sort of game would you like to see a certain developer make?

Creative Assembly should make an action RPG game.

I know they made a couple of mediocre hack and slash games, but I'd really love to see their attempt at a full western action RPG. It would be cool to play an Elder Scrolls/Gothic/Two Worlds styled game in an ancient historical setting.

I don't know if this counts...but I'm going with it anyway.

I want Obsidian Entertainment to take another crack at Alpha Protocol. That game, if it had a bit more polished, could have been epic. Even with it's problems, I still enjoy playing the game and would LOVE for them to try to fix the issues they ran into.

If it doesn't count, how about Naughty Dog create a RPG? They're great at creating characters in the only series they've created (Uncharted) and it would be interesting to see them test their abilities outside of Nathan Drake.

EDIT: I did not realize Naughty Dog created so much more. I'm not sure why I thought that but Uncharted is NOT the only series they created. Thanks for the heads up guys!

Anyone who won't turn it into a FPS should make a Syndicate game. I'm playing through the original at the moment and loving it. The same style of game as Syndicate Wars (3D camera, isometric viewpoint) but powered by today's technology (bigger levels, inside and outside areas, larger teams, etc), keyboard shortcuts, and better pathfinding A.I. (surely we've gotten better at this over time) would be amazing. Bioware could give it a go since it's an EA thing... I think they could do it well.

Square Enix should make a Kingdom Hearts MMORPG. It would, like, print money. I mean most Kingdom Hearts fans now have their own income to sign up for something like a MMORPG.

Didn't Naughty Dog create Crash Bandicoot and Jak and Daxter as well?

+1 on Alpha Protocol though.Would love a sequel.

OT:Wouldn't mind seeing Bioware do a straight up linear action game seeing as that's the way their games seem to be heading anyway

I'd probably love to see CD Projekt do a hack'n'slash without any rpg elements.

Rockstar needs to do a Mass Effect game about Garrus, with the story flashing back and forth between his time spent trying to clean up Omega as Archangel and his time in C-Sec. Really I'd be happy with Rockstar doing a scifi game at all, but them plus Garrus equals instant good.

And like a lot of people have said I'd love to see Rocksteady try their hand at some other superheroes. If only we could get them in on that Avengers game that's apparently coming.

Actually, Bioware should just do LA Noire 2. There was a lot of potential there it never really lived up to and if it ironed out the issues a sequel would probably be an undeniable classic. I'd say Bioware tops the short list of people I think could pull it off.

I agree that this would be fantastic.

As for my addition to the thread, Naughty Dog should make a survival horror game. I feel like they might be able to pull it off, whereas nowadays it seems only indie developers take the risks necessary to make good survival horror.
