Awesome. Welcome to the insanity that is fatherhood. My wife (also named Sharon) and I had our first one last December. It's going to be a wild ride but trust me, you'll enjoy every second of it.

Congratulations.

Congratulations! Hope it works.

Here's a website that shows you what names mean.

www.behindthename.com

Just type in a name, and it shows you the meaning. Pretty nice if you're the person who likes reasons for everything.

For example, your name, Dylan(if I correctly read your earlier posts), means:

From the Welsh elements dy "great" and llanw "tide, flow". In Welsh mythology Dylan was a god or hero associated with the sea. He was the son of Arianrhod and was accidentally slain by his uncle Govannon.

Good for you, buddy. How about you name her after the person who introduced you and Sharon?

Congratulation, and the perfect name would be "Girl" or "Daddy's Little Girl" or everyone's favorite " Drop * From Students " (or w/e that mean sql command was.

No, seriously, I like Sarah as a girl's name. But I ain't giving the name I plan to give to my daughter ;)

I know this seems a bit irrelevant, but sharon went into labour at 8:29pm last night, and seven hours later gave birth to an absolutely beautiful and healthy baby girl, who I swear has her mothers unique reddish eyes, my brothers great grin and my hair. For all this I love her more than words can say. Im sitting with sharon in the hospital, writing this on my laptop (Im actually a bit surprised the hospital had public broadband) and looking down on both of them, asleep.

We still havent decided on a name yet. I was thinking about Sharon, after her mother, what do you guys think?
Actually sharon does sound good. Ignore whatever I said in my other post. The eyes do change color after a while though, usually.

Congrats to you! ^_^

Though, I wouldn't recommend naming her after her mother. Even though it's a lovely gesture, the two people I know who are named after their parents absolutely hate it. Let her have her own name and be a little bit unique. ^_~

Congratulations on becoming a parent

As for a name, I always liked Isabella, Dawn, Arielle, or Anya

Just please don't be one of those parents who name their kids in "unique" ways.

It's not spelled Kristi, it's Kristy for god's sake!
