I spend a long time trying to think of something it doesn't know, and once I finally do I do the little form that makes it smarter, and I feel even worse.

Damn this thing is good.

I did "The Doctor", and he couldn't get it even after 50 questions. I think the problem is when he asks if he is an animal, I say yes, because by definition he would be.

I just tried Trilby from Yahtzee's games, and it got it in maybe 10 questions... Dayum...

And then it got Heironymus Lex.

Next thing you know it'll change it's name to Skynet.

Well, either by my own error or his (probably mine) he couldn't guess George Clooney. I even opened up a wikipedia article about him for fact-checking. I'm sure that I just screwed up in the beginning, since I didn't open the article up till question 8 or so.

He has real issues with marriage for some reason. I said he was married once, so he then asked if he was engaged. And once before that it asked "Does he have a sister?" I answered yes, then the next question was "Does he have a brother or sister." Kinda odd.

EDIT: Jeez, you kiddin' me? He got Tom Nook right! I so thought he wouldn't be able to.

That's not AI. That's a fairly simple algorithm of questions.
I wouldn't say it's simple.
I tried some characters form Song of Ice nad Fire and it got all. Nice database
It's more simple to code than you think.

Essentially, it works on a database of simple answers, which grows more accurate over time with more people using it (i.e. it refreshes itself based on whether they say a guess was correct or not).

Obviously, like Wikipedia, it relies on public knowledge and correctness, which is great for the characters and guesses that receive high traffic, like popular movie characters and actors, or politicians like Barack Obama. It falls short when you look at less well-known ones, because less people have been there to correct or add information.

Any web designer with a tiny bit of creativity could write the same code. And it definitely does not count as AI.

I beat it three times. I think after a while I got bored and started throwing some of the random kirby mooks at it, got the first two and failed after that.

Not an AI, but fun.

Got Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Thrall, and Yahtzee. Nice. Took 30 tries for Triana Orpheus, so I count that a kind-of-win.

I managed to beat it by using Kondo Isao (Gorilla from Gintama) all previous characters were correctly guessed. Amazing.

I love the look that appears on his face when he knows he's gotten it.

Vash the Stampede?
Gman?
Rorschach?
The Spoony One?
Captain Hook?

O.k, I give up. This guy's starting to scare me now.

It got Leeroy Jenkins. And Pokabu (one question was 'is it from the 5th generation of pokémon?')

It has a damned good database, and a good search/question algorithm too. I remain impressed every time I see it.
