Having gotten knock out early in the fight, Laurence just woke up. "Any one got the number of that wagon?" Laurence asked grogely while getting up. Looking around, the first thing he notiched was the stench. "Ooh my god, this is even worse than the chesspools. What the hell are these things?" Seeing people on a gaint snake. "I must have been hit harder than I think. I am seeing you guys on a freaking snake."
From now on Dragon_of_Red has contol over my character untill I get back from holiday in a week.
"I appreciate your reassurance but..." Kyu-Ya gulped, he shook his head and held on tighter to the snake's scales. There was a horrible feeling crawling up his spine, like he was going to catch something to the face and fall off.
The snake hissed at North as he dug his claws into it, so Evela smacked it on the head, "Bad snake" he hissed. It reeled from the blow, hissing but facing forward again.
Once everyone was on the snake, it began to slither off. It slid like a normal snake, turning every so often, but was much faster than any transportation by magic or Horse, it was going very fast through each tree, not stopping for much, only once to devour a rabbit.
As the group rides through the forest, a smoke rises from the tops of the trees. Evela muttered to Muhnat, "Is there anyway you can move this snake?". He turned around, his eyes were squinting due to the smoke, "Sure."
"Can you move him towards that smoke? I have a bad feeling about this." he responded.
Muhnat turned away, towards the smoke. He nodded and whispered something to the snake, which caused it to turn sharply and dart towards the source of smoke.

They arrived within minutes, the smoke had started to sting everyone's eyes, and the smell was bad. Muhnat tapped the snake on the head, signalling it to stop. Evela jumped off quickly, making a run towards the source of smoke. What he saw shocked him, one of his brothers was there, another Demon.
He stood there, pointing his blade at the town leader, he begged for mercy, pleaded for help, anything. The Demon just smiled, and slashed his throat. The leader clutched his open throat and fell to the ground, life leaving his eyes.

"Aye, you could say that" Evela responded. He searched his memories for the Demon in front of him, it clicked quickly over who he was. His eyes searched the Demon who had just cut down an innocent Elder. The Demon wore nothing but grey, he had no hair atop his head, but made up for it with a large bushy beard, which had began to grey slightly, mainly a dark black. He wore tight clothing, with died leather as his pants. He wore a jacket over his torso, the hood for it resting on his back.
"His name is Aknar. He is one of the lowest Demons, but that is still easily enough to take out one town."

"Low down in the hierachy?" Orin shrugged "A waste of our time then. If we can't put a dent in their leadership, all we'll do by intervening is get the attention of stronger Demons, right? Let's get out of here."
Orin wasn't one for doing anything that wouldn't produce results, and dealing with this Demon seemed like it would be a waste of time and effort.

Getting off to see the source of the smoke himself, there was a familiar scent to it that drew him in. Chreos arrived to the others and saw the ruins of the town. He then realized the smell, it was of burning flesh. He watched Evela and Orin talk about what to do before voicing his opinion.
"What you dont seem to get though is that we have an opportunity to see how they work, I say we stay around for a moment and watch what happens. We have the possibility of learning someting useful about our enemies."

Everett shighed. "I thought i was gonna get some sleep..." He moaned. He rolled of he snake and stood up. He walked over to the others. He listened to heir conversation and said,
"I think we should leave. As long as no animals have been hurt, it doesn't matter. It's only people..."

As Everett spoke, Orin looked round at him. "That has to be the most idiotic thing I have ever heard someone say. The life of an animal is worth far less that the of a person."

"Not in my eyes. people are worthless. Animals, however, are not." Everett said to orin. Orin had called him stupid, over an opinion. To everett, that showed unintellegence.

"We can discuss the sanctity of life at some other point. But for now, I still believe we should stay and see what happens. Who know's, maybe we can find a survivor of some sort to give us a first hand account" he said as he watched the demon with muted interest
"Nice snake" Laurence said while getting of. Walking towards the rest, he heard some snippets of the conversations. "If you guys are deciding to kill this monster for what he has just done, wouldn't it be wiser to attack him from afar? You guys know magic right? Can't you guys just blast him or something?"
"It's not that easy, we don't know how powerful this demon is, if the spell didn't kill him in one attack then he would surely be mad."
"And demons are fairly strong, I doubt one attack would kill him so easily."

Evela did not take his eyes off of the Demon, he was laughing, holding his long sword in the air triumphantly. Muhnat however, saw that Repel was looking at him, "I am to tired from the summoning from the snake to do much of a useful spell." he answered him, tapping Evela on the shoulder.
"I could, but I prefer to wait to see what this guy is doing here first. They don't attack a small village without reason..."

Alicia carefully removed herself off the snake, nervously gazing forward as she walked to the source of the smoke, and her eyes widen in terror at the devastated surroundings of this town and the death of the town leader by the malicious and possibly deadly demon. He was defenseless
Anger rose up inside the young woman as she clenched her dual knives tightly with a barely audible snarl, controlling herself not to attack the foul being in front of them. She greatly despised dishonorable or in other words, evil people. Especially those who harm other.
"Does it even matter? He's the bad guy. He will die sooner or later." Said Alicia as she glared darkly towards the demon.

"Can we just attack this guy? I'm getting seriously bored." Everett said towards Evela.

Evela shook his head at Everett's foolishness. But a scream from a young girl made Evela react before he knew what was going on.
He jumped out from behind his spot and charged, he did not have his sword drawn or his wings out, so Aknar just thought him to be another villager. The Demon drew his sword out again and prepared to attack yet another innocent villager. Evela charged some white magic to his hands and sent it at his arm, to stop his attack. The force made him drop his sword, but Evela put no effort into stopping or doing anything about it, he was determined to save that woman.
Muhnat looked at Evela run, "Well, seems like we should follow" he called out as he stood up and prepared to charge.
