A Breaking World ((Chapter 2: An Enlightened Path))

Orin groaned to himself as Evela dashed forward. He unsheathed his sword and sprinted after him, his other hand reaching inside his cloak for his throwing knives. He had no interest in saving the woman Evela was making for, but he needed Evela alive if he was ever going to be resurrected. His hand flashed out, sending a throwing knife expertly aimed straight for the Demon's chest. Not bothering trying to see if it had hit or not, Orin brought his sword round in a blindingly fast side sweep, intending to disembowel to Demon.

Everett sighed How ironic

He drew his swords and ran to evela. His swords started to turn blue. They appeared toturn to ice. As he ran past the demon, he sent a small wave of frost into him and laughed.

Aknar caught the throwing knife directed at his chest, stopping it millimetres away. He turned just in time to see another blade fly towards his stomach. He moved the dagger down since it was the closest weapon and barely blocked the sword, just making it miss him. He dropped the small knife and picked up his old sword, one that was pure black, apart from a glowing red crystal on the handle.

Another one ran past him, sending a chilling attack towards him. The Demon quickly nulled it with a small fire spell, turning the temperature back to normal.

<spoiler=OOC>Remember, strong spells need a chant, no matter how powerful you think your spell is, it can be easily taken out by one with even a small incantation.

 

[Zirat]

Seeing the other two charge at the demon head on Chreos took the chance to go around him and attack from behind. While he was busy with Evela and Everett he drew his sword and made a charging stab to the demons exposed back

Aknar luck saved him from dodging Chreos's stab. As he used his spell, he turned slightly, rolling out of the attack with only a large gash across his back. He felt the blood trickle down his back, and turned towards the three people in front of him. "Okay, Finally, a good fight." he commented, readying his sword.

He quickly chanted a spell, and unleashed it towards Orin, after it left his hand, he cast another spell into the ground, making it rise a few centimetres, hopefully trying to knock the other two of balance. After his spells had finished he put as much effort into his slash as he could, aiming it towards their torsos.

And remember, this battle should be hard. He is a freaking Demon.

Everett jumped as Aknar cast the ground spell to stop himself from losing his balance. When he it the ground, he saw Aknar come at him with a slice and ducked. While he was down, he kicked aknars leg and rolled backwards.

Everett stood back up and chanted quietly. He swung both of his sword towards aknar and sent a large wave of frost towards him. Aknar used fire again, but it didn't stop the impact completely.

"Chreos!" Everett shouted, "Be carefull. You to orin!"

Jason sighed, drawing his longbow and firing three arrows quickly at the demon. He didn't care if they hit, but it might be a good distraction for the others to attack. He ducked away from that area, firing three more arrows from a different position. This way the demon wouldn't know were the arrows were going to be fired from, or were the archer was.

Jason had never tried this before, but he ducked out of cover, still holding his bow and nocking another arrow. Jason tried keeping out of the demon's range while still firing arrows at him from all directions.

the demon appearded to be distracted. While Aknar followed the trace of the bullets, Everett chanted again and sent three waves of frost towards Aknar. They all hit this time.

Damn it! That hardly did anything!

Aknar stumbled backwards and look at Everett. He lunged his sword at Everett. Everett tried to jump to the side, but was too slow. The sword pierced his arm and sent him to the ground. The pain was terrible. He had felt worse, but this felt different somehow. Like the pain was sreading across his body. Everett lay there in silence.

 

[One Seven One]

Repel had been standing away from the fight, attempting to cast a spell that could help the current situation.

Since the demon knew fire magic his ice spells wouldn't be all to effective.

Repel had taken his time to conjure up an icicle brimming with electricity, using the icicle to encase the lightning.

With great effort he hurled it at the demon, the demon saw the icicle and conjured a fireball to dispell it, however as soon as he burned away the ice the electricity was freed and shocked Aknar seemingly doing very little actual damage, however Aknar's attention was taken off Everett while he conjured a fireball to throw at Repel.

 

[Zirat]

The rising ground caused Chreos to lose his balance and fall over backwards, fortunatley that allowed him to dodge the massive sweep of the demons sword. After quickly getting to his feet he starts to circle the demon, looking for another opening to attack.

When he saw him struck by the lightening and preparing his fireball Chreos moved in for another strike and sliced him down the back, clipping one of his wings. The demon stopped his chanting and made a wild stab at Chreos, who jumped out of the way as the demon continued slashing like crazy while moving towards him "what's the matter. did I hit a sore spot?" he laughed at the furious demon, now commanding it's complete attention

 

[Shanaar]

Seeing Evela charged towards to demon because he was going to kill a young girl, Laurence ran after him. With the earth rising up, Laurence fall forward. Making a head roll after losing his balance, the blade of Aknar past over his head. Getting up and looking, Laurence saw Everett lying still on the ground. Making his way towards him, he grabed him and draged him out of harms way.

<spoiler=OOC>Okay, Maybe I didn't make myself clear. You can only auto-hit/control the other NPC, if it is minor, and won't do anything, like those minor Fatwas before. This Demon however, is important, therefore, only me and Fallen are able to control him.

I am sorry if I did not make that clear earlier, but yeah. If any player controls a character, even if it is anyone controlling an NPC, you are not allowed to write in that you hit, you can do what I did, and leave room for the people to dodge. All of your posts, I am afraid, are not correct.

I will let this slide for now, and until your learn it, do you want me to make a list before each fight of what you can control and what you can't? Just to clear confusion on this for a while.

Aknar looked at Chreos, then sighed. "Fuck it, time to die." he muttered to himself as he pulled out a small orb from his pocket. The looked exactly like a messenger orb, except had red particles inside instead. He smashed in to the ground, causing the grass underneath the to ignite, spreading quickly around the floor.

He made an incantation and started to take control of the fire. The fire went from the ground to his hands, and leaving a long trail of 3 metres from each arm. He began to whip these at each person, and using them to block the arrows.

The laughter died in Chreos's throat as he saw the giant flame whip come soaring towards him. He tried to jump out of the way again but reacted too late as the blow struck him in the chest and sent him flying to the ground, dropping his sword. Chreos yelled in pain as he desperatley beat out the flames flames on him and tried going for his fallen weapon

NorthernWind hit the ground with a tumble. He checked himself, he was okay. He looked up, a whip of fire was coming striaght for him. He ducked under and rolled to the side. He reached for his dagger, only to find his belt missing. He snarled, Well, I got claws for a reason! He waited for an opportunity, then charged, putting all his weight into his shoulders, then bringing his arms up and grabbing for the waist, throwing all his wieght forward into a tackle.
He couldn't help with snicker in his head, he was tackling a demon-thing. Then in his head he reached the moment where he realized how bad of an idea this must have been, but couldn't do anything about it. I must be suicidal!

 

[Shanaar]

Dodging the whip aimed at him, Laurence looked to see if Everett was oke. Seeing him still lying still, Laurence dove to push him out of the way. Succeeding in it, Laurence got a glancing hit of the whip. The pain it cause him was nerve shattering and Laurence was parylized with pain for a short while.

Due to the immense amount of flames around him, Aknar could not see NothernWind charge at him. He caught a quick blur as he slammed into his waist, talking him down to the ground. He fell down hard with North atop of him.

As he hit the ground, his arms covered in flames tried to wrap around North to get him off of him.

Everett felt the force of someone push him and heard a crackling sound. He oppened his eyes and saw Laurence get hit by a long flame. Everett stood up slowly and saw a whip of flames lunge towards him. He rolled Away from it and saw northwind ontop of him. Everett ran towards the two and tried to help north.

Despite how badly she wanted to take down this demon, Alicia stood at the back, letting everyone else attack first. They were much better at fighting than her, so she waited until a proper time to strike. If she gone ahead and rushed Aknar, he would of surely dealt some serious damage to her. As the battle raged on, she couldn't believe how strong this demon was, able to dodge and counterattack with such effortless skill and speed. So far there has been no open spots to advance on him.

At the sight of Chreos being set aflame by the demon, Alicia immediately set a path towards him to assist. She reached inside her bag and took out a large coat. With it, she flapped the heavy garment over him, attempting to fan out the fire.

Coughing, Orin slowly climbed back to his feet. The hit he'd taken had winded him, and he'd lain dazed on the ground for several seconds. Looking around him, he located his sword, which had flown out of his grasp when he'd gone down. Now he was determined to take the Demon down, even though it was faster and stronger than him. He watched with incredulous disbelief as NorthernWind tackled Aknar to the ground. He must be suicidal. Then he grinned to himself. Now was the perfect time to kill the Demon while he was distracted by North. Approaching, he lifted his sword, preparing to deliver a killing blow.

"Aaaah that freaking hurt's" Laurence shouted while regaining his compusere and getting. Seeing the demon lying on the ground with the Guaki on top of him, Laurence pulled out his weapons. Hitting a button on his dagger, the blade split in to three seperate blades. Running towards the demon, Laurence tried to pin one of the demons arms down to the ground with his dagger. With his rapier, Laurence tried to stab him in his side.
