maybe its just me, but as a horror movie fan ... cloverfield... was.. just god awful, a game like this would just make me cringe that anyone would waste time on this when they could make something worth while

I can see it now...

It'd be like Pokémon Snap, but with a giant monster tearing through New York.

...BRILLIANT

Oh, but it exists, my good man, it exists.
Here's how to get it :
1) Install ANY FPS in which you fight aliens (let's say DNF, for a full "quality" experience)
2) Set your mouse sensibility as high as possible.
3) Put soap on your mouse.
4) Have a friend yelling randomly at you ALL THE FUCKING WAY.
5) Enjoy your game!

Oh and 6) Have ONE scene in third person that is never justified, never explained, and crushes what little respect I had for the idea in the first place.

Also, try playing in a rollercoaster after eating, say, a full pig by yourself.

Like this?

Anyway, from what I've seen of Resistance, it sounds kind of like a Cloverfield game. But, yeah, I'd love an open world type of game like Cloverfield, but it would be horrendously buggy.

I despised that movie, and chances are I wouldn't play a game based on it either. I just don't see how monster rampage combined with shaky cam could horrify anyone. The latter only worked in The Blair Witch Project, and that's because the movie was about isolation and a genuine fear of the unknown. It didn't have Dagon decapitating Lady Liberty. That's not very scary. But, you know, that's just my opinion.
