want to know what really pisses me off? (LOZ) 4 swords- the only way you can play with four people is with 4 gameboys and 4 connector cables. Why the hell wouldn't they let you play 4 people with 4 gamecube controllers? someone was seriously tripping when they decided on that.

I agree with the guy that said a pokemon MMO. Real gym leaders and trainers would be awesome.

Although it's already online, something like Left 4 Dead expanded into a sort of free roaming MMO could be really cool. Imagine a big city where humans and infected were almost more like rival factions, constantly in competition. Goals could involve getting from one side of the city to the other, but you'd plot your own routes, interact with lots of other players, or maybe your bunch of friends could just be one of many trying to get across the city. It would also make playing as infected a lot more fun, the removal of the linearity of the maps would mean that people could get much more creative with where they decided to pop out of as a hunter.

Bioshock would be pretty fun with multiplayer.

Other than that, I can't think of any. Super Smash Bros is still the best party game I've played.
Are you kidding? What made Bioshock good was the literary aspect of it, but when you go online, in almost every match you're going to have some retard on the other end screaming into his headset. That kind of thing would ruin the atmosphere of it.

BTW: It has been confirmed that Bioshock 2 will have multiplayer.
Do you remember how Goldeneye 64 did multiplayer? That's what I wanted to try.

That L4D one is awesome. I think you might want to Google Humans vz Zombies, cause they're similar ideas.

I agree. I kind of think that Wanted: Weapons of Fate would have made a pretty decent multiplayer after playing it for a little while.

Assassins Creed would be interesting, maybe everyone but one guy as Assassins, the one guy has to run, the others have to race to kill him. Actually, that sounds fantastic.
for the assassins maybe.

Or one assassin, and the rest are hunting him. And he must use just the hidden blade to evade them through the city. yeah!

Heyall, I've been thinking lately about a lot of games, that I cant honestly see a reason why they shouldnt have some sort of multiplayer ability.

Is there a single player game you think the awesome factor would rise 100% on with multiplayer? Why stop there? Maybe extend it to Massive, and go Online?

I mean, some obvious ones come to mind, like The Elder Scrolls games, but what else could you think of that would make good multiplayer?
There is an unnoficial multiplaye mod for oblivion I think. Plus I can't wait for an MMOFPS or MMOTPS (third person shooter), maybe warhammer 40k mmo like that. I'm not going to play another MMO until that sort of thing happens, good thing Global Agenda is on the way.

multiplayer Fallout 3 and Bioshock
Was totally about to say that.

Agree 100%

EDIT: Also Black for PS2, that had such a kickass single player campaign, would have made a cool multiplayer

well, I suppose some people might think the elder scrolls games wouldnt work with multiplayer, but I think it be freaking fun. But then again, I also play the entire game in Vanity camera mode.... BECAUSE I AM NOT A 6 FOOT TALL FLOATING CAMERA, thank you!

Also, the .hack//GU games would have been great if people could control the members in your party.

Dokapon Journey for the DS looks pretty good for social gaming, but I'm still waiting for the UK release date :(

I'm playing Black & White 2 atm and it's a real shame it doesn't have multiplayer, especially since there is completely no reason for it.
did the first one not have multiplayer?
i'd like ninja gaiden to be multiplayer (if it could work) and the final fantasy games would be cool if you could work together as a team.

Oh god. Must resist flaming uneducated...people....

Arrrrgh!

Multiplayer takes a long time to implement properly into a game and changes many aspects of what is and isn't possible with it. You would be waiting longer for these games, they wouldn't have some of the content they do as single player, and whats wrong with singleplayer!?

For a TES MMO go look at Darkfall, I've been told its very similar.

The Sims would be awesome like a MMO
Agreed. I'm not a HUGE fan of the series but it has it's uses. But i'd settle for EA getting a single player game to function at 100%. Apparently they're having major bug issues with sims 3.

Rom Check Fail. Play it then discuss how awesome it would be to have multiplayer.
