A game I want...NOW!

Seriously game developers, when will I get a sandbox game set during the French Revolution? I want a game where I can capture Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette and put them in the guillotine.

Incidentally, The Saboteur looks pretty good, though if they won't let me free climb both the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe, I am going to be super pissed.

I'm just wondering if anyone else is getting really tired of the "Future, WW2, Middle Earth-look-a-like" trinity. It kind of looks like more games are moving out of these overused tropes at the moment, what with games like Assassin's Creed 1 & 2 coming out. There are way too many periods of history that have yet to be explored.

I would like to see a Halo game based solely on the Arbiter and the elites. Have the main campaign with the Arbiter be called 'Prince of Sangheilios' all about him rallying the support of the elites to leave the Covenant and forge the alliance with the humans in the first place while also having various flashback sections from various other elites in various other conflicts in the Halo universe and have them all fit together. Add a tonne of new Covenant weapons and vehicles and gameplay innovations and more music from Marty O'Donnell and also more of Keith David's voice as well as a nice alternate perspective on the Halo universe through the elite's eyes.... it would be awesome.

Yes I've said this a lot but hey maybe one day a Bungie might listen.

I want a WWI game, and I postpone your game until mine comes out, using my spell card "Triage". Furthermore, you activated my trap card, "Royalists", by stating you wish to behead the king. Royalists accuse you of treason, you must now throw 3 cards form your hand directly into the graveyard.

I wouldn't mind a WW1 game, though if I remember Yahtzee correctly, Darkest of Days has plenty of WW1 action in it. I would actually assume a WW1 game just contains the following: Charge the enemy trench, stumble through barbed wire, die by landmine/get mowed down by machine gun fire, rinse/repeat. You could probably just make a mod for the game Battlefield 1942 and call it Battlefield 1914.

A game that has the same idea as Super Smash Brothers Brawl or Marvel vs Capcom 2, but instead of side scrolling, it's all first person shooter. As such, you'd choose your spawning class (you can change between spawnings). So in one match you could have a pair of Duke Nukems running around on a Halo map fighting a storm trooper and the Heavy from TF2.

In fact it'll probably end up with me being the guy who makes it.

That would be quite a nice game I think. Though I think I would rather fight for the IRA rather than the British though.

*cough*I am not an IRA sympathizer guys, I just think it might be cool to play as them.*cough*

I also want the Saboteur, and you CAN climb the Effiel Tower!

This pleases me greatly...though if I can't also climb the Arc de Triomphe and snipe random passers-by from both locations, it shall be all for naught. (Though sniping from the Eiffel Tower is a little unrealistic, if not completely awesome.)

So like SSBB but in the style of the Battlefield games and with more characters? Interesting...

I was thinking about this the other day as I just started reading a book about The Troubles! My idea was that you could be some British guy (or I guess a guy from any country that's unbiased ... not to suggest that Britain were, but I digress) who's sent to investigate blah blah and ultimately you either make the decision to join the nationalists or the unionists, or the game decides for you depending on how well either one would work out (Also games where you have two contrasting story threads are annoying, since it feels like they could cut down on the game and justify it by making you play twice, like Fable/Infamous etc). Though, working for the IRA could be pretty controversial even today...

Did you have any particular idea?

You sound like you're more interested in a Yu-gi-oh! game. Maybe a game based on the abridged series?

You can climb them, not very easily though I hear. Apparently the climbing mechanic is a little awkward.

I still want it though, despite average reviews - may even get it to day whilst Christmas shopping. I can't buy other people things and not have something myself!

The ultimate superhero creation game (I suppose city of heroes, but less people and more 'whatever the hell you want')
In fact, screw that. The perfect game, In my opinion, would start off as a blank template with easy to use options (For those who just wanna jump in)
You could create whatever you will, within a fairly large area. Make a city, perhaps, and go on a murderous rampage? Make a school and be a good student (Actually, the 'school' option would be banned in australia anyway)?
Also it comes with $3000000. And the winged dragon of ra.
