I never played the first or third WBC's and as such have no basis for comparison, but I did really enjoy the bonuses to be had when you chose a class etc. And as I said in the first post the game could be better and I was referring in part to the gameplay - though not, I must admit to races - what new ones were included? And also what made the gameplay in the third so much better? How was it improved?Reveras said:I loved the hero lvling up bonuses in WBC2, but WBC3 was soooo much better gameplay wise + had more races. Imo if WBC3 took the world conquering campaign element + the special spec bonuses - example if u choose a warrior and went with that fighter thing u had a bonus that gave u more combat and such it would have been the perfect rts+rpg mix.Fingerprint said:Yeah I know the feeling, I wouldn't want to count the times I've completed it - it's easily the game I've completed most, I just find it easy to pick up and play. Though my choice in races differs. I never got the hang of playing Fey - I found that you needed heaps and heaps of different unit types to compete, and the sheer volumes of crystal that those guys can (and need to) consume is just phenomenal. As for Undead (apart from when you first start a battle) I loved them - though I actually just loved having an Undead Death Knight. But yeah, Dark Elves, Dark Dwarves, Barbarian (but only after turning off the hero's voice), and Undead are always my choice.Deeleted said:Thank god someone else then me remember this game. One of my all-time favourites, can't explain HOW MANY times I've played through it. Favourite races are Fey, Undead and Dark elves.Fingerprint said:My choice is Warlords Battlecry 2. It's an old skool hero-based fantasy RTS and there seems to be very few who've heard of it and even less who've played it. Admittedly it's not the best game out there, nor is it the most original but to kill time and conquer a fantasy realm it's pretty all good and I often find myself returning to it over and over again even though I'm not a massive RTS fan.

It's a mod for the game. Brings it up to more modern standards. The fleetops team have been working on it for years.canadamus_prime said:I still have the Gold Edition (which inc. I should dig it out.
Why? What does that do?sabbat said:I used to have Star Trek Armada. Still have a copy of Armada 2. If you can get hold of it, download the fleetops mod. You won't regret it.dekkarax said:

I would be VERY surprised if anyone has played this game.
Yes this was a fun RTS, for minerals you built a building next to it and depending on the size of the forest or cliff etc the more people you can have collecting from that resource.zerzxes said:Rise of Nations. That was a pretty cool game actually. Funny story to go with that. I was visiting a friend one day, years ago when it came out and he was like here, try this, I bet you'll die in five seconds. Of course I thought he was joking at the time, until a pillar slammed out of the freaking celing and crushed me into the ground..The Blu Spy said:mortal kombat mythologies: sub zero
such an awesome side scroller
I, for one, remember it vividly. When I was a very young child, my mother was forever working the night shift, and my father worked away from home, so we'd often board at other's houses. During one such occurrence, my younger brother and I realized that one of the people we were living with, a college student, had an affinity for gaming. We watched him play Final Fantasy, and Resident Evil, and such...and then he played Parasite Eve...in front of us...when I was 5. Needless to say, I don't think I'd ever had such trouble sleeping during my early childhood. However, I remembered the game for years after, and once I found out what it was called, decided to look into it. A decent investment, too.meganmeave said:I don't think it's that no one remembers it, but no one seems to talk about it.
Parasite Eve.
It had a big company, a sequel, a cool mix of Silent Hill type creepiness and action RPG goodness and it was well received by critics. Yet I hear people go on and on about Legend of Dragoon and other RPGs of that era, but no one ever gives Parasite Eve the love it deserves...
I once spent a slow Hallow's Eve playing that game with a few friends. Don't ask why, as far as I can remember, we weren't of sound mind at the time.Dark Sup3rn0va:
