Kiss Psycho Circus and Rise of the Triad. Both games I played as a little kid (maybe demos) and only found again somewhat recently to play again for nostalgia. I have no idea how obscure they are for their time, but they are at least a little for being old.
Rise of the Triad? HELL YEAH!! I played that game daily for many many months when I was about 10 years old. It was awesome!! It was basically ghe sequel to Wolfenstein 3D. I loved the fact that you could use two pistols akimbo in that as well, only back then it was still referred to as John Woo style. Oh yeah, and you could take shrooms in that game also. That is still one of my favorite computer games of all time, easily.

Rollcage on Playstation was a favourite of mine. Really fun racer.
OMG od damnit Rollcage was awesome! ^^ I love how you can destroy buildings to mess up your opponents, it's like a much better, much older Split/Second.

OT: I have a few actually;
Future Cop: LAPD on PS1. It's an awesome game that needs a reboot by EA.
War of the Monsters on PS2. An epic monster brawling game with fully destructible environments.
Ghost in the SHell on PS1. A gamne based on the anime film of the same name, you get to drive a tachikoma around and mess shit up.
And finally Colony Wars on PS1. It was a space fighter game based on and above various planets where you fought other clans of fighters for control. It rocked.

If anyone knows about any of these games reply to this and we can reminisce.

Primal Rage ate so many of my quarters when I was a kid. It was a 2D fighting game with dinosaurs.
I played that at my Grandmother's house on her Super Nintendo. Had no clue what the fuck was going on in that game.

Was that the one with the Girl having to go to 4 different worlds(one full of Hunters, one full of Wraiths, one full of Fish-People, and another full of Fire Djinn)?
Yes, yes it was. There was also a little gargoyle sidekick, who became distinctly badass in the endgame.
I played that up until the Djinn level. At that point I think I just used cheats.

Brothers In Arms: Hell's Highway.

It's the best WW2 shooter ever made with amazing voice acting and is still to this day the only video game that has made me cry.

Yet I hear nothing about it.

I've actually got quite a few. If you want to try em, pick them up as soon as you can.
1. Threads of Fate
http://www.romulation.net/files/screenshots/roms/PSX/24236/s_0.jpg
One of my favorite RPGs of all time. The graphics, music and characters grasped my attention. Playing as both Rue (a warrior and shapeshifter) and Mint (a magician with a variety of spell types) really made me love RPGs in the first place. If you haven't played it, you will not be disappointed!

2. Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie

Possibly the epitome of 3D platforming at its best. The only 3D platformer that could come close IMO was Super Mario Bros. 64 and even then that's a close second. The controls were slick, the graphics were eye-popping for the time and the characters were really memorable. Play it if you haven't.

3. Ikaruga
http://darkzero.co.uk/asset/2008/04/ikaruga-2.jpg
A truly great arcade-style shooter. How anyone could miss it is a crying shame. Its almost up there with Gradius and Lifeforce. If your a fan of scrolling shooters, I guarantee you give it a shot.

4. Brave Fencer Musashi
http://www.rpgdreamers.com/rpgworld/brave/brave1.jpg
Two words: Frickin' awesome. Combining various sword moves in addition to the ability to absorb the powers of your enemies really mixed up combat and kept everything fresh. The overall presentation is bound to make you wanna finish playing this game. Give it a go.

5. Wild 9
http://loot-ninja.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/01/wild-9-500x373.jpg
I was shocked to find that almost no one remembered this game. The first time I played it was on one of those old PS1 game demo discs that Pizza Hut gave away as a promotion. Needless to say, I went and bought the full version and I can say it was pretty good. Not the best game I played but definitely a memorable experience.

6. Xmen: Mutant Academy 2
http://image.gamespotcdn.net/gamespot/images/2001/ps/xmenmutantacademy2/xmenmutantacademy2_790screen001.jpg
Another game I bought because of its demo, it really is a very deep fighting game that really makes you want to actively seek out people to show it to. This is what Xmen vs. Street Fighter should have been like, with tighter controls and a better presentation.

7. Oddworld: Abe's Odyssey
http://laputanmachine.files.wordpress.com/2010/04/oddworld_abes_oddysee.jpg
People seem to remember Abe's Exodus more than this one. This game is more about trial and error rather than just jumping in. Each and every situation requires a bit of problem solving and thinking outside the box to get around that will really make you feel like accomplishing something. A good platformer in of itself.

8. SSX3
http://www.nintendospin.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/ssx-3-image1.jpg
The game that made me almost forget about most other snowboarding games. With all the over-the-top moves as well as the many different venues, characters and customization sucked up hours of my time for that game and I can it was time well spent.

9. Soul Blade
http://www.romulation.net/files/screenshots/roms/PSX/24860/s13d9e79848827958b117ade48a627330.jpg
The game that actually started the Soul Calibur series.
So those are the four I could pick, mainly since there are so many I could choose from, but this list is getting way too long.

Chaos Legion.

The only JRPG I ever loved.
Wow. Seriously, wow. I played this game and liked it, but had mostly forgotten about it until now. I have never heard this game come up in conversation before and almost all of my friends are gamers. Definitely underrated as it had a pretty cool mechanic with the Legions. The only odd bit was that beating it as the supposedly super-powerful main character allowed you to play as the random girl with guns and she was way better.

I haven't seen one person here mention it except me.

Also, War of the Monsters.

Dark Cloud - PS2

Haven't played the second but the first one was just one hell of a time sink, a long campaign with:

An 100 floor dungeon which took ages and was really hard but was fairly rewarding at the end of it and gave you the best weapon in the game for the main character

Loads of little easter eggs as well, some of which were useful to the game.

The only bad thing I remember about it was the music loops in various areas which started to grate on you when you were stuck on a specific dungeon.

Rise of Nations. Such an underated RTS. It might even be my allt ime favorite game. But no one else cares.
This as well, both RoN and RoN: RoL are excellent games, both different 'genres of RTS' but easy to get into, well balanced and has superb graphics for a game released in 2002/3 even today

Also, Power Stone, which was good. So much crazy fun!
I loved primal That was the game that got me started actually ordering games instead of just grabbing what I saw in town

Mine Is only a halfa and probably doesn't belong here as I have heard it mentioned many times on the escapist but the only people I have met who have even heard of it is the one who put me onto it and the guy that I kind of dragged in. It's Disgaea this game had a pathetically short australian release and it's sequels weren't out here for very long either I still dont have a copy of the original except for from psn I got thew second one from a second hand shop and the third one I purchased from an american store the upshot of which being that I can not use any DLC From PSN Only game updates.

Gotcha Force

Only people I have told about this game know about it.

To be honest I have literally no clue how I ended up with a copy 0_0 but it's gotta be one of if not the best game I've ever played just for the pure fun value! =D.
