Ever have a moment in a game where it says fuck you? A moment where you feel the game was intentionally programmed to screw you over.

I've had that moment recently with Disgaea DS where im trying to get the cave of ordeal passed and i have all of the high level characters in agreement wtih me. Yet i couldnt get the dark assembly to agree with me no matter how many times i tried. I finally forced the bill through.
crysis 2, alien landed on my head from the sky then ran off and the loading screen informed me nano-suits were designed for hit and run attacks,
i was so shocked at that that i quit playing for a little while
them immediately after when i got back i got in a fire-fight with some alien drop-ship and the nano-suit commander guy chides you about taking excessive damage

i was thinking pretty-much exactly what you did.. was that seriously intentional?

X-Com: Enemy Unknown - Terror Mission before end of the first month. The first 5 squaddies to step off the transport get sniped by plasma fire... each from a different direction.

X-Com: Terror From The Deep - Any and all Cruise Ship and Alien Base missions... period.

Assassin's Creed - Final missions... Go from careful planning for perfect executions and escapes to messy mob melee and endurance fighting. D*ck move, Ubisoft.

Killing Floor with it respawn BS.

Round starts.

Look left. Nothing.
Look right. Nothing.
Look left again. Two Fleshpounds, a Siren, a Scrake, half a dozen Clots.

...
Its even worse with the Patriarch. The entire team was outside the trader, on that green tinted labratory level, preparing for the Patriarch. The round began and it spawned at the end of the hallway which the entire team was located, a gatling gun burst later the round ended.

Have not beaten it yet, so don't spoil anything for me yada yada, but in FF IX the dungeon Kuja sends you to to get some stone while the rest of the cast is locked up, with something about magic being ineffective I don't remember the name, anyways theres about a 95% chance to run into an enemy who spawns a clone of one of your party members about 10 seconds into the fight, who then kills the character he is mirroring automatically 5 seconds later, so you are going to have someone die at least once, I hope you brought a lot of phoenix downs!! Thank god I managed to struggle my way through, otherwise I probably would have rage quit right there

Fallout 3's ending. Have you played it? Yes? Then you don't need an explanation of why.
At least they fixed it with broken steel, does it excuse the original ending? No, but at least they had the sense to do something, speaking of Fallout 3, somewhere there is a door, that when you open it there is only a wall that says "Fuck you" in spray paint, gotta love it

Getting to Sequence 14 of Assassin's Creed 2, only to find out that I've got fifteen more codex pages to track down.

Well at least Broken Steel retconned that ending. With Fallout: New Veags's DLC it seems like you'll never be able to play after the ending.

OT: Fable 2's ending:
"Oh what you wanted huge fight to the boss? NO FUCK YOU! You wanted to actually FIGHT the boss? The guy who ruined your character's life?! TOUGH SHIT! (and if you wait too long) You actually wanted to be the one who KILLED THE GUY?!?! TOO BAD!!!!

ALL of Demon's Souls: "What the games too hard? Suck it up you pussy! Oh you keep dying? Well then guess what? I'm going to make the fucker HARDER!!!! GROW A PAIR!!!"

the entirety of red dead redemption not with difficulty but with the story every time i tried to be nice and good the game makes me very cynical after i finished a quest where a nice old man wanted flowers for his wife's anniversary i was so happy just to have a nice mission for ounce but after the conclusion of that mission i had to stop playing for a few days

L4D and L4D2... you know what I'm talking about, rainbow six for the ps1... damn that shit was hard than I was a kid and of course Driv3r, every single second of that game was made to fuck with you until you trowed it out, specially the chase missions than the person you're following got 99,9% perfect driving no matter what vehicle while you're stuck in a slow, broken-down "thing" that crash in every object no matter how much you try to steer.

Mario party/Mario Kart. No matter how many stars your winning by or how far ahead you are, last few turns or final lap the CPU ALWAYS manages to catch up to you. Or at least make some epic last stand. -_-

The problem with this is that the game is essentially telling GOD to fuck off, in a situation where god exists and isn't very patient. I would say...that that is a dumb thing to do, and it shows.

Not a gameplay thing, but at the beginning of Half Life 2, when you find the Barry dude and he says something about a beer he owes you, I guess it was meant to be a friendly shout out to the first game, but what I heard was 'Oh ho ho, player! You haven't played our first boring game? Or maybe you gave up halfway because of the headcrabs and jumping puzzles? Well then FUCK YOUUUUUUUUUUUUU, you're not going to get ANYTHING on this game, shut out your console now and go outside to play with the other GIRLS.'

That wouldn't be the last time HL2 would say fuck you to me. (What, you thought the brightly illuminated area that is human nature to go towards led to the next level? No, you should take the ladder in the poorly lit area right next to it. That passage takes you back to the beginning of the level! Ho ho hFUCK YOU)

Happened to me a few times in minecraft. Why oh Why does the game feel the need to spawn five creepers within 10 feet of my house?

Yes, I know I shouldn't have pursued Lu Bu, Dynasty Warriors 3, but it doesn't help when I get stuck in a fence.

Animal Crossing.

If you keep resetting the game Mr. Resetti comes out and basically says fuck you and starts resetting the game over and over when you don't want him to.

EDIT: And Left 4 Dead has done it numerous times but I love it for it.

Most fighting game bosses, especially from SNK games tell me this. And Sephiroth when I "discovered" him on Kingdom Hearts.
