As has been said we really haven't seen a true Steampunk/Clockpunk game. Another that we've seen but not for a good long while is a Cyberpunk game. There were a couple of Shadowrun games during the SNES days but nothing really since (note: I'm not counting the Shadowrun FPS not because it was a bad game [I never played it] but because it didn't make any real use of the Cyberpunk tropes.)

It seems that you are unaware of the existance of 'Super Columbine Massacre RPG!'.

Anyway, I'd say...

...

...uh. I will get back to you.
Wow, I didn't know someone actually did a game on the Columbine Shootings. I'm a little shocked by that.

As I understand it, that seems to be the point. I dunno. It must be art.

I haven't seen Scotland (as in, actual Scotland, not rolling green hills and bagpipes lazily grazing) in a game setting recently.

Napoleon taking over half of Europe would be an interesting setting. Or the Mongol invasion of well...everywhere, though that might be tricky to make a game around.
Napoleon total war did it didn't it? and their will probably be a Mongol total war sooner or later =P
I didn't know about that one, is it an RTS? I guess I was thinking shooters.

There is a freeware game based on the Columbine Massacre where you actually play as the shooters. http://www.columbinegame.com/

Hm...an actual, non-shitty rendition of scandinavia? Like...no too human bullshit, no Viking bullshit, just a game set in scandinavia (that's norway, sweden and denmark, and let's throw in finland for good measure too). Of course, I imagine that'd be like going around cloud ruler temple in oblivion for about thirty hours...

Perhaps Conan the Barbarian? I have no idea if that's true, I've never looked at the thing.

I vote for a utopian worlds where people and bizarre animals live side by side, working, playing, battl?

Oh. Right.

Nintendo did it way back when with Wall Street Kid. Boosh.

Sadly, nearly everything has been done before. If it hasn't actually been done, then it has at least been mentioned as an idea on some sitcom or something. Recall when Master Shake went through a virtual horse's anus? Surprised nobody mentioned that setting yet.

How about the Spanish colonization of South America, Aztec (or Mayans, whatever the hell they were) versus a bunch of murderous Spaniards? I'd buy that for a dollar!
Aztec campaign of Age of Empires 2: Conquerors

There have been games about so many things.. pretty much every business has a sim games (or dozens), he have fought most wars (none about the football war, sure, but that would be a short game, or the the Falkland War, or... you get the point) and all that..

The question is rather, which settings haven't been exploited enough.

And if I see another WW2 game I'm gonna throw up. Before Sudden Strike back in 2000 it wasn't a much represented setting but now its sooooo boring.
