It looked so damn freaky, and yet I would have played it.
The idea of cannibalizing cars to make something cooler out of them was awesome.
Siigh.
I read about it in a gaming magazine around 2004, complete with a screenshot of the character driving a lump of charcoal that looked vaguely like a car while about five zombies are trying to get in there and munch on him. I still have it now, I could post a picture of it.
Also, Goldeneye XBLA's future looks bleak. so I'll throw that in as well.
very true, completely agreedma55ter_fett said:Starwars Battlefront 3
You know this to be true
Also I am not counting the abominations that came out on the PSP, just battlefront and battlefront 2 for the console and pc.
It is indeed true. Seeing that "leaked" footage gave me one of the biggest case of videogame blueballs to date.ma55ter_fett said:Starwars Battlefront 3

quoting you again.HardRockSamurai said:There was this PS3 game called Eight Days which I felt looked really promising, but it was canceled.
Real shame, in my opinion. Looks like a lot of people worked really hard on it.
[small]There's still a debate as to if this trailer uses actual gameplay footage, but I honestly stopped caring about that ages ago.[/small]
I still have hope for that...ma55ter_fett said:Starwars Battlefront 3

I remember reading that a while ago (thanks for jogging my memory), and feeling mad as well. And I don't even own a PS3; I just hate it when a potentially good game gets dropped for no good reason.Korten12 said:It said that part of the cancellation was because of no online mode.HardRockSamurai said:There was this PS3 game called Eight Days which I felt looked really promising, but it was canceled.
first time I'm mad at Sony, but its a short-term hatred.
well I remember reading that Utopia got turned into Guild Wars 2. so you might see those areas in GW2 that were in the concept arts for Utopia. I think the reason why they changed it to GW2 was that their was way way to much they wanted to put into it that the only way to continue it was to turn it into the sequel.oppp7 said:Guild Wars Utopia. If it wasn't for the ability to play as Charr in Guild Wars 2 I would have quit the series by now.
Which is awesome until you remember that we would have had Utopia and about 4 other expansion packs by now.Korten12 said:Well I remember reading that Utopia got turned into Guild Wars 2, so you might see those areas in GW2 that were in the concept arts for Utopia. I mean, they could have even made a class that was Charr only, or made them playable in one of the expansions.
On 4 June 2008 Sony Computer Entertainment announced that Eight Days, along with The Getaway, had been cancelled.[10] Sony released a statement on the cancellation-"This decision was made following an internal review of all games and it was deemed that with the incredibly strong list of exclusive first party titles coming up both this year and in the near future, resource should be reallocated to enhance those projects closer to completion".[10] Two weeks after the cancellation of Eight Days, President of Sony Computer Entertainment, Shuhei Yoshida, stated that the lack of an online mode in Eight Days was "part of the consideration" to cancel the game.[11] He also stated that the cancellation of Eight Days was not because it was not failing in production, but because Sony is increasingly moving towards online-supported games, and Eight Days did not fit that overall strategy.Korten12 said:quoting you again.HardRockSamurai said:There was this PS3 game called Eight Days which I felt looked really promising, but it was canceled.

off wikipedia. I dont think Sony has the right to be picky seeing as how the PS3 has a massive game quantity difference compared to xbox and the wii.
