BioShock. The sad thing is that I know it's wonderful. I just can't take the frenetic nature of the thing. If anything, there's too much immersion. The setting and story points are amazing, but I just can't play it...

Sports games would be my first thought.

My other was a Kung Fu Panda game I got for my 10th birthday, and an Avatar game which was just..... terrible

Everything just seems so wrong about it."

Such as?

And I just tried to play Alpha Protocol again after people are still calling it a good game. Its shit. I played it through the first time, and it was shit, and I tried again to see if I was missing something, and its shit. Its a third-person game and the camera doesn't even fucking work!
I have a moral obligation against mudering babies.
At least thats what i've heard.
Plus i played the demo, didn't much like it.
I haven't played it, but i have the game.

Just really doesn't appeal to me, and i can't bring myself to play it.
I have moral obligation against buying game and then not playing it :D It's not a baby but a bunch of pixels, I think people should take games as such.

Just think about what makes most of the "Games" (mind the capital G :p) great, it sure ain't shooting thing of any shapes (not even in milestone FPSs).

And I just can't play Oblivion. Tried and failed to find excitement behind it (friend borrowed it to me saying how awesome it is, so no I did not break my own moral obligations xD).

Morrowind, the combat detracts from the experience enough to make the game unplayable for me.

Gran Turismo 5. I really want to play it, but I just can't. I'm just shit at it, and most other racing games.

I'll have to go with the controversial answer of Oblivion. I know it's a great game, and I tried so many times to like it, but every time I get bored and play a different game.

Also, Dead Space 2. Any game with an ad campaign that offends me isn't worth my time. (yes, I'm still carrying that grudge)

Zelda is my favorite game series, but for the life of me I cannot play the DS versions. Absolutely nothing I like about Zelda is in these games, and they also possess everything I don't like about Zelda. I forced myself to get half way through he first game, and that was it. I literally couldn't play anymore because I was so nauseated and upset.

Every year or so I turn it on and give it another shot. Nope, disappointing every time.

That's territory that anyone fears to tread.
Really? I see nothing wrong with killing children (or anything/anyone) in video games. I have no issues with putting one between the eyes of a virtual child. It's a video game, but I understand where you're coming from. Maybe I just really hate children...

... :D

Anyway, to answer the question, I would probably say Saints Row 2. I just couldn't...couldn't do it. If that game had a face, I would punch it.

Sports games, most Superhero games.

I know that Arkham Asylum is good, it's definitely the best of its kind that I have played, but the combat to me just gets old after a while. I don't feel the "pull" so to speak to keep playing.

There are a worryingly large amount, but I'll stick to my main bugbears:

Metal Gear Solid - Loved the first one on PS1, although I could never beat Liquid. I've tried to give 2 and 3 a chance, and I like the story enough to happily sit and watch while my brother plays them, but the actual gameplay is horrible. The last time I tried MGS3, I was playing 4or 45 minutes after which point I had watched a lot of cutscenes andsank into a swamp because I was aiming my gun at a crocodile and hadn't noticed I was sinking. Needless to say, I have zero interest in playing number 4.

Online FPS games - I'll happily play through the story mode of something like Reach on co-op with friends, but horde/deathmatch/ctf game modes leave me cold. You play the same couple of maps over and over again with no sense of progression except for your k/d ratio creeping up. I seriously don't understand the appeal (I have never played any COD apart from a bit of splitscreen zombies on World at War)

Red Dead Redemption. I could see the quality oozing out of it but I couldn't be bothered, frankly. I only played an hour or two, then never really wanted to pick it up again.

Also, for slightly different reasons, Assassins' Creed 2. I was really enjoying it, about 8 hours in. I booted up the xBox, went to my sae file and it wasn't there. I really don't want toplay the first few hours again, at least not while it's so fresh. I'll go back to it in a couple of months.

For me, it's black ops.

I was playing it on Xbox with a friend who insisted I try it. I was using a controller (which I'm already not completely familiar with) on a game I felt was slow and clunky. Even when sprinting I felt as if it was terribly slow, and it felt like half of the game was either camping or wandering about the map until you found something to point your gun at.

I can see why others might like it... but it didn't appeal to me.

I couldn't fully play Fire Emblem: Radient Dawn. I just couldn't stand one of the main character Micaiah. Also turning the game into 3D doesn't appeal to me at all (the fight animation is slow compare to the GBA).
Also I just can't get into Tales of Symphonia. The character didn't charm me and I always feel dumb in the fighting part of the game (I feel I should be using some startergy like other RPG).

MMO. I don't see anything fun about having to pay to keep playing and keep doing boring quests and grinding until you get to a higher level and then the fun actually start. And I also don't like to play Survival horrors when the story is weak or you have so much weapons that isn't scary, and I hate when Stealth games (My favorite genre along with non-realistic FPS and WRPG) are linear, only offers one way to complete the mission and have a lot of action sequences *cof*Splinter Cell Conviction*cof*(Co-op and torture sequences were cool thought).

I really wanted to enjoy Symphonia, in part because it was one of a very meagre handful of RPGs on the Gamecube, but the fighting mechanic never clicked for me. I just felt like I was button bashing.

I've never got on with ant Tales games come to think of it.

Every RTS. I just do not have the patience for base building, resource gathering, etc.

resident evil 5. i rented it and i hated the annoyance of the whole scarcity of ammo and automatics and i couldn't get past the first boss.
brink is nice but the stupid ass ai weigh it down. it needs a squad command system.
also, anything that requires you to solve a retarded, hugely boring puzzle to open a door, fight a boss or some crap. i never liked the whole namby panby runaroundy find it's weak spot yes this game does not have regenerating health system nor a cover system crap used in just about every japanese game. so no, unless the japanese game you're eyeing and would highly recommend to me is shadows of the damned, i will not under any circumstance buy or rent or even play it because it will almost certainly be cluttered up with a bunch of arbitrary puzzle sequences that just suck the shooter out of it. no thank you, i will not play it unless it is like call of duty, gears of war, halo, mass effect, uncharted or battlefield.

Red Dead Redemption.

Don't get me wrong, it's a fantastic game, with a brilliant story.
I just can't play it.

I find it so boring and dry, yet I'm not entirely sure why I feel that way towards it. Even Undead Nightmare I found to be an effort to play. And it has zombies in it!!
Thank you! I felt exactly the same way! I tried to play it and got into Mexico but I couldn't play for very long stretches as my attention would start to wane. There was just too much uninteresting stuff in between missions and I didn't really care about basically any of the characters. Sometimes I still feel like I should finish it and contemplate renting it sometime, but I haven't yet.
Same here. Yeah, it looked good, but so much of it was dull.

Assassin's Creed. This post is going to take a lot of heat, but after being spoiled by Hitman, Prince of Persia and Thief, I could never play it without ranting each 5 minutes.

i like black ops, but the game itself isn't the best game i've seen. the graphics suck, the maps are huge, death comes way to often cause i suck when it comes to online competitive gaming. also, i'm the only guy on the earth who isn't the 15th prestige, apperantly.
