so I decided to keep playong Soul Caliber 3, trying to find the exact point where soul blade started sucking
and I played chronacles of the sword, and it was fun as hell.
then I played the main story, not so much.
kinda ruined it for me actually.
soul caliber 3 just isnt fun anymore, WAY to much shit to collect(now that I have kos-mos I dont see the point) and im done with it.
so whats a game thats just not fun anymore for you
(I would also say MGS2, but that wasnt fun to begin with)

Just Cause 2. Started playing it and generally messed around having fun, then unfortunately I strayed into the story.

I still think the firs one was the best one. I miss having differant weapons, that actualyl behave differantly. And the ability to break weapons. My favorite was Taki and the one weapon breaking set of daggers. fast, relentless attacks you almost had to block. Eventually your weapons just game in, and then blocking meant half damage still got to you. If you couldn't break my attack chain, you were doomed.

All the other Soul Caliburs added very nice visuals, but play exactly the same. Shame.

Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA got like that for me once. I was trying to unlock all the outfits, and some of the items for the room I was missing, but some of the later songs, especially Disappearance of Hatsune Miku, just got way too frustrating on Hard Mode. It just wasn't fun to play anymore, and started to feel more and more frustrating each time.

I took a break from it for a few months, and then it went back to being fun for me again.

my best was song-mina using her last weapon.
but yeah, the first was the best.
especially since I like voldo better on the ps1 graphics, where you couldnt tell he was wearing a thong T_T

Gears of War 2. The campaign was a lot of fun, but the multiplayer was such a mess that I completely tainted the series for me. I don't think I'm going to buy the 3rd installment because Gears of War 2 disappointed me so much.
I never play multiplayer, so I never much care if a game skimps on it. I know if it's been too multiplayer-centric if the singleplayer campaign was shite, or perhaps it's crap with both aspects.

Left 4 dead 1. I played it alot and it was fun for a couple weeks but the limited weapons available and the idiocy of the AI controlled characters and the griefing assholes online completely killed it for me. To the point that I didn't even bother getting 2.

I'm surprised no one's said Pokemon yet. After several years since I first got my hands on a blue-painted GB cartridge, I find it impossible to stay interested in any version of the game, I blame this in part to the actual storyline, ie: kicking organised crime up the ass, constantly being dismissed as a sidequest while the one-upmanship is what gives you the end credits.

I got bored of Mass Effect 2 really quickly once I realized how shallow the leveling system is. I thought that Mass Effect 1 was already lacking in the stat management department...ME2 pretty much made itself into a straight shooter. Saved that colony from attack...quit playing.

Starting to get bored of Pokemon, but only because its hard to train when none of the trainers call me for a battle. I miss the Vs Seeker from R/S/E and D/P/P.

WWF No Mercy for the N64. I used to play that game for hours on end, customizing my own characters and playing through all of the storylines with the different wrestlers... I doubt I could even stomach ten minutes of that game now.

I was also really into Clayfighter 63 & 1/3, but just thinking about the shitty resolution and slow frame rate it had gives me a headache.

I myself was mildly concerned about the leveling system but once I got used to it I enjoyed it a lot. Combining the shooter mechanics and skill systems in the first game didn't work for a shooter or an RPG very well, and Mass Effect was meant to be more of a shooter anyways. Mass Effect 2 still has a small bit of the stat leveling from your class ability and being able to jump straight to the abilities instead of spending 4 levels on -0.5% cooldown on a 3 minutes long is nice.

The rest of Mass Effect 2 certainly didn't suffer, but I'm confused when people think that reducing intense stat-management makes it less of an RPG. It's what we are used to, and what we expect, but Role Playing Game to me is more about the characters and the choices, which Mass Effect did very, very well IMO. At least the shooting mechanics are smooth now. ME1's were atrocious.

GrandTheiftAuto has lost its fun for me now. There is only so much running from police you can do before it gets old.

Dragon Age: Origins
great concept. but the only reason i kept going was to talk to ppl and hear my teams reactions, they were hilarious at times. not a great way to play an rpg, gotta tell ya.

Any game without a new game +
i wanna play the game over again with my bad ass character on a harder difficulty with better items. i hate just ending, or continue exploring to find EVERY LAST THING that no longer helps u (ie exp, armor, etc)

Sorry for such a late reply (and also sorry if this ends up necro bumping this thread). The game has been out for almost a full year now. It's on the PSP, and the old LE version came with a special mini-nenroid of Miku. They are about to release a "Best Mix" version in a month or two. It'll have the full game, plus like a few bonus songs (no word on what yet). The LE of that will also have a second run of the mini-nenroid.

Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA 2nd will be out this July. It has tons of new features, tons of neww songs, duets (like 'magnet' with Luka and Miku), it'll use more buttons, and have a drag feature for when you press and so on. Also, there's a feature to load your save from PD1, but no one knows what it does yet. It will also feature individual accessories instead of full outfits, and they can be used on any of the Vocaloids you have (instead of just Miku, and just swim suits for the others). There's more info and videos and stuff at Sega's pages for the games. Just not sure if I can link those (don't know if that would be advertising or not).

There's also DLC for the first game that just came out last month too. If you wanna know more, you can just PM me since this is getting extremely OT. lol

Assassin's Creed, I never even got to finish it as I quit when I was at around 70%, repetitive game is repetitive. Even the end-is-near feeling couldn't keep me playing it *sigh*.

I've been thinking of finishing it, but it'd be the same as if my lovely neighbor was poking you into your eye every 15 seconds with a stick and laughing at you.

I don't know. I still enjoy a romp in San Andreas now and again and I never go on a trip without my copy of Vice City stories but I know what you mean.

After playing through the story of gta4, I was pretty much done. Which is too bad because thats my favorite part of the other games: just messing around outside the structured game. The problem is that they didn't make it very rewarding and a lot of the LC settings looked similar.
