Blaz Blue: Continuum Shift, I seriously can't stand 2D fighters but this one really appealed to me, probably because of the awesome anime style graphics that didn't just fall into cell-shaded once they realised how hard it was... as most anime-styled games are tending to do now.
CoD: Black Ops, just... why? You could replace every piece of background music with the Team America theme, and it would have the same effect (which is saying something for a CoD game), the multiplayer was less balanced than any I've played (including MW2), and the story line looks like Treyarch peeked at the desks of Infinity Ward and Ubi Montreal, saw what they were planning and shat themselves as the realised that the WW2 recycle machine won't work this time around, and so crafted a bastard child of MW and AC, slapped a pair of aviators, shouted "the Russians are bad guys!" and put it on the shelf knowing that the ignorant masses (myself included, and I believe I've grown wiser after this) will buy it since they've proclaimed it to be good.[/end rant]
