I'm not talking about adaptations or sequels. Not "I really wish X would make a sequel to Y"

I mean in terms of either a specific type of game with specific gameplay elements, a cross blend of genres perhaps or a totally new one that you just really hope someone makes one day. You can of course reference existing games, but I just mean a game that offers you everything you are looking for in one lovely package.

Well I still want a complete open world zombie game. People often complain about there being too many zombie games, but considering an open world sandbox is pretty much the ideal for the setting, I am yet to have that kind of game released.

State of Decay did a good attempt, but it is overall far too limited to really fulfil what I'd like. I am talking about a game of similar proportions to Skyrim or Fallout, but with a proper crafting system that allows you to set up proper defences and such. State of Decay's idea, but much grander in scope and significantly more complicated.

If it could be made with online co-op and have servers that means the world is continuous like Minecraft that'd seal the deal. I am not even that "into" zombies as a thing, but it has so much potential as a setting, and no game has really accomplished that yet in my opinion.

Running Man themed open-world procedural roguelike set in a dystopian cyberpunk setting.

One day it will be made, and it will be amazing!

Eh this is more like an idea of a story at least running around in my head lately but what I kind of want is a bit of a medieval past like setting with characters so real you can honestly relate to them. Basically the world takes a back seat to the characters, Where you/main have your own goals, hopes, dreams, fears, reasons for being there, Real life issues, personalities and reasons for having all of that and learn all of your companions through the story. Watching characters grow and change with each other and even dark pasts and events punching you as much in the gut as the characters.

Basically a game that can make you care about the characters or at least some of the characters cause hell you don't like everyone in life because you want to not because your told to, and learning about the characters and watching how they change cement that. I would say combat more of a secondary, being well equipped and having a good plan and using other things to your advantages or retreats would be more of the rpg about it.

Take GTAs heist mechanic and add the A-team characters then add a bit more planning and you have the perfect game.

A mecha game with the intense fights of Armored Core and the mech customization, tactics and branching plot of Front Mission 3 & 4. Include fully-destructible environments and interesting characters for squadmates.

That's my not so innovative idea. For one I don't think we've ever had anything even close to, I once had an idea for a puzzle game where you are a blind technopath who sees by controlling nearby cameras, and can control any other electronic machine they get near. They are being hunted by soldiers, and must use their abilities wisely to survive and figure out what's going on, how they got this ability, who is hunting them, etc.

You! You sonovabitch!

That's basically what I want. An HD-remake of Front Mission 3 with improved graphics and animations, battle and experience system from sequels and REMOVED LINNY (hate that prick).

I want this too...Oh how I want this...

Single-player Star Trek RPG, preferably open space wherein you can freely fly from place to place instead of going from hub-to-hub so as to unlock more hubs. Most importantly though would be the emphasis on diplomacy instead of each hub leading to an inevitable gun fight. I'm thinking this would be best if it took place during the Next Generation era if only to have the option to play as a Klingon. Furthermore, boss encounters (like threats of Klingon Civil War or, incidents within the neutral zone) would pay out more EXP/rewards if they're solved peacefully and diplomatically. That being said though, multiple endings would be in place for people who would rather set their phasers to Kill.

---

Next-Gen Colony Wars and/or Mace Griffin: Bounty Hunter. A game where you take bounty missions, smuggling missions, etc and gradually upgrade your ship and personal equipment after each successful mission. Big emphasis though on the fact that space and, the places you can visit are all one giant map (up until you dock in a station or, enter a planet's atmosphere).

You might call that a plan coming together. I would like a new resident evil with gameplay like 1-3

I want a decent arcade motorcycle racer. None of this realism crap. Give me unbelievable speeds, a kickarse soundtrack similar to the Wipeout series, and as many racers as a game like Daytona USA.

I want a game like neverwinter nights 2: storm of zehir, except full-sized, as opposed to only having content from levels 4-16.

Or a hard sci-fi version of the X series where you can actually be on the planets asteroids or stations. Maybe it could have a light 3rd person shooter element to it. I want to experience ship boarding actions firsthand, not shoot marines at things and hope for the best. If you could explore the planets themselves, you wouldn't need some huuuge number of different systems, you could just keep it to our solar system or maybe a couple nearby ones. There's tons of good sci-fi that hasn't left our solar system, I don't get why game developers don't see it as an option.

I second this. I want a zombie game where you actually have to weather the apocalypse, not just get from point A to point B with zombies in between. A game where you find a place to fortify and hoard supplies by raiding the town/city in a fallout style. Assuming these supplies don't respawn the game will push you to choose to go farther from your safehouse for them or relocate to more bountiful land.

what i want is a completely different sort of game. One that revolves around three core mechanics. You have three different choices of fight style. The RPG out of body see everything. The FPS only what you look at. And the RTS see the entire battle field. The rpg would be gifted with more health, greater speed, but less range and less targeting. The fps would have crazy damage, but shit health, along with he would have crazy range, but it would be offset by no minimap like the others. the rts would have minion to control, but no attack for himself, he could hide, or just run the entire match, he would have middle ground health and speed, his main goal would be to either make a lot of minion or one fucking big one based on the class. each of the three would have a different class. Rpg would get different melee weapons and play styles like ninja, swordsman, mage or a mix of the three. the FPS would get guns and magic and diffident spells to choose from as well as different last minute close range powers. the rts would get different minions and ways of avoiding others players, different charge times, different defenses. the game would have a story mode bases around 6 people who specialized in two of the three to give you a feel for the different styles and help you decide what you like. the multiplayer would allow you only one but the chance to change on death. the games could be capture the flag or death match any of the standard. you player however would be completely personalized by item you buy with in game won money or by finding treasure chest on the map that change every game. the game instead of have a screen would have a lobby where you sit with your team while waiting. and the lobby to choose game types would be a grand hall where you go through hallways to choose game types but you could set it to a simple screen type if you wished. the main way to play would be have your Rpg guys try to get in close while the FPS guys try and give them cover while you try to give the RTS guy to get his giant minions out. the FPS and RPG guys will always be stronger than the beginning minions so you would use them for flanking or supplementing. later on when you can get out bigger guys do they start to match players but the RPG and FPS guys get big all finishers so just throw around if they saved up enough or got enough kills.

I was on the tropes page for Dangan Ronpa, and what it said was, well, this:

What Could Have Been: When first envisioned under the working title Distrust, the game would have featured branching pathways where the player's decisions influenced who lived or died: for instance, one pathway would involve student A's death, while in another route student B would be murdered instead, and student A would help you with the investigation.
Your choices would also influence the Main Character's general attitude, as well as determine whether or not certain characters were actually trustworthy.

And that sounds awesome. I mean, with other mystery books/games/anything, once you know the twists, there's no excitement. this would give some replayability at least.

I want to combine the environment of Just Cause 2 with the parkour from Mirror's Edge, with the guns from Fallout and the magic of the Elder Scrolls, the suits from Metroid, the Jetpack from EDF, and the tools from Thief, in first person.

Basically, huge open world with many varied environments and enemy types, with scale-able buildings that have interiors to run through, with interesting weapons, armor, and abilities to use, in first person.

The biggest action shooter game no one has been capable of making is what I'm asking for, to say nothing of a capable story or graphical fidelity.
