Akia Katana - that becoming a flop made it clear that CAVE shmups are a failure in the west (and Japan too).
I think it's more it was the wrong choice of game to bring over. Mushihimesama Futari or Death Smiles 2 would've been a lot more accessible for many.

I know Sleeping Dogs did well enough, apparently, to warrant a sequel, so I guess I can't say that anymore.

I'll go with Vanquish. Fun little game. Highly recommend it if you like action titles in the vein of Bayonetta or DMC.

Such a shame that this game never sold as well as it could have. It was one of the best hidden games on the original Xbox.

Oni from Bungie. If only it had been finished when it was released, it could have become so much more. Unfortunately it was rushed onto shelves and entire sections of the game were cut out to save time and money. That and the shooting was pretty terrible. The hand to hand combat was intended to be the focus of the game though and was completely and totally excellent.

I really wish someone could revive the property and do it right.

Don't have a Wii U, but it would've been nice to see a third-party hit for the system. Perhaps to put a few bumps in the ECG machine. The Wonderful 101 looked like it was going to deliver, then stumbled rather miserably out of the gate.

In terms of games that I actually played? Would've been nice if the Australian servers of ToR were populated enough that EA didn't decide to kill them off. Then again, it would have been nice if the game wasn't a WoW clone with a Star Wars skin and voice acting.

Oh, and anything on the Vita. For roughly the same reasons as the Wii U, but also because I own one.

I knew the answer to this question straight away, then came in and the first response was from Daystar. I'll just leave her to tell it I think.

I don't know if I should be upset you ninja'd me or happy someone else thought of this. Ill go with the latter and completely support you. One of my best experiences with a videogame.

I'd have to say for me....Folklore. I wish that game DID so much better than it did. A PS3 Launch title, that showed us a vibrant beautiful world that's kind of like taking the best elements of Pokemon, the best elements of a Phoenix Wright Mystery story, and spice it in with some after death exploration that's less Bleach and a little bit more Grim Fandango or Tim Burtonish. As in, the life after death IS so much more interesting and colorful than what being alive is alike.

Errr, I have game I think should have done better, sir.

Can you guess what it is?
Metal Arms?

OT: Well there's Valkyria Chronicles. If SEGA actually TRIED advertising their non-Sonic IPS,, maybe this one could have sold more.

Oh. And Metal Arms. Shame on all of you for not buying Metal Arms.

The Crimson Skies games. I have completely fallen in love with these games recently and I was saddened to find that they were not as successful as they had hoped to be. Then I heard they might be making more of them but then was disappointed to see that this is no longer likely.

For me it's Rock Band 3. I was a huge rock band fanatic at the time it came out, and Rock Band 3 raised the bar in a lot of ways, including the addition of Pro instruments and keyboard and vocal harmonies. It was not nearly successful enough, and that as the beginning of the end for the Rock Band franchise. they continued to release DLC for another year and a half or so after launch but the number and quality gradually dried up and they announced that there'd be no more weekly DLC anymore a few months ago and no plans for a sequel.

God damn it Activision, why did you have to destroy the music game genre with your countless Guitar Hero sequels milking the market completely dry...

Lost Odyssey is one of my favorite console RPGs, and it makes me eternally sad that so few people have heard of it.
The Thousand Years of Dreams is potentially the most heart-wrenching thing I've seen in a game since Planescape: Torment.

Darksiders 2 if I want to be perfectly honest is a title that pops in my mind why it hasn't sold so well.

I really enjoyed the setting and the "adult Zelda+ Prince of Persia" hybrid and I was looking forward to the third one until THQ went backrupt which kinda saddened me. I don't think the third game will be made.

Vampire: The Masquerade ? Bloodlines for one. Another under performing game that I really liked was SiN: Episodes. Sadly, the first episode sold so poorly they were never able to continue or finish the series. :(

Me: Oh God, here come the psychonauts posts. That's probably going to be the first thing on here. After all, the fanboys won't shut up about it.

*Reads*

Wait, am-am I going to have to be that fanboy... really? No one beat me to it? Okay... Psychonauts.

It would also be nice to see a console sequel to Valkyria Chronicles.
