Red Dead Redemption can be considered a sequel to Red Dead Revolver, and is undoubtedly an insanely fun game.

Man how can i be so stupid! Of Course Diablo 2, and Baulders Gate 2. I was thinking Mario 3, but i would be lieing if i said i enjoyed it better than Mario 2. I always liked the style of Mario 2 over Mario 3 for some reason.

Metal Gear Solid 2

I stand by that it is the best in the series...

...even if no one else does...
You stand as a lone man burdening the horridness of that game on your shoulders? lol.

OT: MGS3. Best in the series.
What can I say?

I've played and beaten every single MGS game (save for the ones on the PSP)

I loved them all...just loved MGS2 more.......MGS3 was pretty damn good though...

Am I the first one to say... Half Life 2?
I loved Half-life 2, but all it has above the original is the gravity gun and better graphics. While it can certainly be considered as good as the original, it's not better.

Firstly, punctuation: what is the reasoning for including such silly punctuation as "?!?!" That sort of punctuation simply does not exist. A question mark is perfectly adequate. Your title makes it seem like you're in my face, screaming your question at me like some sort of ten-foot tall gerbil on cocaine.

Few sequels, IMHO, have been better than the originals. Some have things that are better than other things in the first, but very few are truly better than the original.

A few ones of note however: Baldur's Gate 2: Shadows of Amn, Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Diablo 2, and Icewind Dale 2 and Super Mario Brothers 3.
sorry i wasnt aware that my english teacher would be reading my post

I love sandbox games, but from what i gather from Yahtzee it's pretty empty.

Or we're just far too concerned with grammar than would be considered healthy. >.>

Jak 2

The greatest game to have ever existed in the history of ever
agreed xD.
I liked Jak 2 too but found it a tad punishing at times so I'm gonna go with jak 3. Plus I'll go with erm...Dark Chronicle as that added much more such as the incredibly diverse georama and just the music and environments alone made it much more memorable

For the most part, everybody's said stuff I would have said. Except for one:

Summoner 2. It did what all sequels should do: take what was good about the original and enhance them (or at least just leave them in) and take out what was bad about the original. A good example of a dev team using the experience they learned to make a more polished sequel.

In that vein, I'm a huge fan of spiritual successors: You get the benefit of making a sequel without the limitations of an established continuity.

Im pretty sure you need to take Yahtzee's reviews with a pinch of salt. I have completed the main storyline days ago, and I am still enjoying milling around simply doing other stuff

I thoroughly recommend it, game of the year for me :)

If you ever wanted to be a cowboy who goes around doing most anything you can think of that a cowboy would do, you'll love the hell out of it. Pretty much everything you'd expect to or to happen in a western happens in Red Dead. It even has the Wilhelm scream in it, and on a couple occasions I've watched a guy who I just shot scream, fire a shot straight up into the air, spin around and fall backwards over a railing. And there's an achievement/trophy for hogtying a woman and leaving her on the traintracks.

And I'm finding it to be less empty than most sandbox games, even though a lot of it is the big open expanse of the frontier. Things are constantly happening all around you that you can get involved in, ranging from lawmen chasing down an escaped prisoner to a group of bandits trying to lure you into an ambush with a woman on the side of the road asking you for help.

And now something on topic: with the exception of the third one, each new Gran Turismo has been vastly better than the last.
