Vik'nar had a feeling this was going to happen. Ships weren't known for their comfortable accommodations. It was going to be a very cozy trip. As he selected one of the bunks on the left side of the room.

Acento said his thanks to the drow then picked a bunk and dumped his stuff, he picked the lower bunk, it would be a shorter distance to the ground if he fell out.

Evela ran up to the top bunk of a bed and layed there. "Your right!" He yelled at Ra'ive, "This is much better than the bottom bunk" he continued in his cheery tone. He had never been on an actual boat before, he never knew how much the monastary had sheltered him untill recently.

Evy smiled in the door frame and tapped the wood by his side.
"I am glad you are pleased. I will inform the captain, she should be down here any minute"

The Drow sighed out a small laugh under his breath and stepped out of the door frame before closing the door itself.

Footsteps were heard and the shreeking of the stairs as he took his steps up to the door.
It made an evil hiss as it swung open and some murmured chatter was heard before it was slammed again.

Ellondra showed neither distress nor disappointment at the accomodations. Such things happened. She took the bunk above Vik'nar's, not much liking the idea of having someone hovering above her throughout the night.

"I pray for a peaceful journey..."

The tone of her voice indicated she did not find it likely.

Vik'nar let himself sigh just a little, barely audible. Such... enthusiasm about sleeping arrangements. The drow was sure to think the King a folly for sending this group.

He shook the thoughts away though. It wasn't worth the trouble to scold them now. They'd be on this ship for awhile, packed so close together that they could hardly... Gyia be damned and praised, she means to sleep right here! His heart skipped a beat as he tried to erase any surprise from his face with a faint smile.

"A peaceful journey would be a welcome change."

As Ellondra lay comfortably in her top bed and Vik'nar's face was lid up with surprise, the door carefully opened and Elania stood in the hallway with a random crew member at her side.

"Yes! I know, I told you to just put it there and ask him for another!!"
"Yes Cap'n, sorry ma'am"
Enalia sighed and then looked to see the door -to her surprise- had opened behind her.

She chuckled, emberrased at her minor arguement.
"I see you have made yourselves comfortable. Wonderful"
Elania walked further into the room with her hands behind her back.
"I do not care what your intentions are, nor who you are or what you have done. All I ask for is that you respect my rules"

Her face was stern and very serious. Her eyes looked so sharp, she could sharpen her blade just by gazing at it.
"First and foremost. I would require you to steer clear from the cabin on the end of the hallway. Do not use any magical powers aboard my vessel, or I shall throw you overboard and tell the King the waves claimed you"
She looked at Evela and Rai've.
"The King informed me that two of you posess power of elements. I will not have them used here"

The Captain then turned on her heel and began to step out of the room.
"And thirdly, if you need to see me or simply need to do anything, ask my boatsman. He will assist you"

The Captain walked out and closed the door.
"That will be all"
She said right before the door closed shut.

Ra'ive took a seat at the table and chuckled uneasily, the sea was already beginning to unbalance him and he dreaded how he would feel if they were to be caught in a storm or tossed about. The thought unsettled him and instead he turned to the others on their bunks and jested.

"I do magic now then? I guess my secrets out"

He unclipped the claws from his cloak, set them down on the table and began to tinker with them, he'd need something to do lest he go insane.

Evela sat on his bed, legs crossed. "I wasn't planning on useing my Magic on the boat anyway" He said in his still cheerfull tone, "I was going too, but there is no Earth around here, and I dont want to set the boat on fire, so I'm not going to". He finished talking and began to chuckle slightley at Ra'ive's remark, and his attitude, he seemed to not like boats to much.

It took him a few moments to figure it out. "She probably wasn't informed about Skaar Rai've and just picked up on the similarity between you two." He tapped his forehead to indicate the masks they both wore.

Vik'nar laid back in his bunk, waiting for the ship to get underway and trying not to dwell on the little bit of timber and a thin mattress that would be separating him and Ellondra over the coarse of this journey.

The hours passed and the ship was well under sea as nightfall began to take it's course.
The Grim Lass rocked side to side as the waves clashed against the hull and the coastline was in sight on the horizon, stretching on like a thin thread.

"Slack those braces! Heave the starboard sails!"
Elania called out like it was rythmic and dialogued.
Evy stood by her side every moment of her time except when she dismissed him to serve other purposes.

The skies were about to clear and just under a dozen of stars along with the halfmoon were high up in the sky, peaking past the passing clouds.

The ocean was dark blue and reflected every inch of beauty from the sky.
From the room down the hallway could be heard some minor ruccus and earlier had been some yelling on Elania's part.
However, it was quiet now. Quite like there was nothing in there to begin with.

After disappearing for a short time, Vik'nar returned to the cabin with a small bushel of apples, a pitcher of water and a fresh steaming meat pie filled with beef, bacon, potatoes, onions, carrots and a healthy serving of beer. He tossed an apple to Ellondra as he began to spin his encounter with the ship's cook.

"So the ship's cook is a territorial old codger with a hook for a hand... but we were able to come to an accord provided I keep out of his kitchen when he's preparing meals for the crew and that I don't use up too much of his fresh stores. I guess they like to stretch it out as long as they can before switching to hard biscuits and salted pork. I don't blame them." He remembered their time in the Northern Mountains and how he tried to make that stuff even remotely palatable.

"So dig in, but I'll warn you the old bastard did sneak a few cups of stout into my stew while I wasn't looking. It's not a bad inclusion actually, but I somehow get the feeling he puts beer in everything." He laughed as he served up the pie into tin dishes that had certainly seen better days, before claiming one for himself and taking a seat on his bunk to allow everyone else access to their share of dinner.

Landon had listened to every word and would try to be on his best behavior. After all, he didn't want to be thrown overboard, especially in his heavy armor.

He grabbed a slice of the pie and took a bite. He had tasted better things, but it wasn't that bad. After finishing it, he told the others "I'm going out to look at the sky...and maybe do a little thinking. If anyone cares to join me, they are welcome to."
He began walking towards the outside of the ship, looking to see if anyone wanted to look at the sky with him.

Ra'ive shakily took a small slice of pie for himself. He daren't eat anything more lest he use his supposed magic powers, to conjure some projectile vomit and get thrown overboard. Besides inside a mask, that would be far from pleasant.

He ate small, cautious bites of the pie, it was great as usual but Vik'nar had made it and so its quality hardly came as a surprise.

"I'll join you Landon, perhaps some fresh air will do me good"

As he spoke he got shakily to his feet and joined Landon by the door.

Evela gracefully accepted some of Vik'nars pie. Before he took a bite, he asked towards him, "This isnt going to burn my tounge like the last thing you made is it?", he thought back to the meal at Ellondras house, he couldnt not feel his tounge for an hour after eating his spicy food. He stuck his tounge out slightley, awaiting the reply.

"Heh, no. But I am sure I can find some peppers if you find it lacking."

As he joked he flashed the monk a sarcastic smile. He might have joined Landon and Rai've out on deck, though there wasn't much more than sky and sea that could be seen. You could still just make out land off to the starboard in the distance. However a juicy crisp apple held his almost undivided attention.

Acento gratefully took a piece of Vik'nar's pie, he was starving. It tasted, as he thought it would, delicious.

He lay back in him bunk and nibbled away at it.

Landon nodded and smiled when Ra'ive joined him.

"We'll be on the deck if anyone needs us." he told the others, then started walking alongside Ra'ive towards the outside. As they entered the outside, they were greeted by the smell of sea and the starry sky that still had some clouds, but they were still able to see the stars. Landon looked up and gazed at the beauty he was seeing. He walked towards the railings on the ship and leaned on one of them, looking down at the ocean. He stood there, thinking, with a serious look on his face and passion in his eyes.

Father, I'm one step closer to finding those that robbed you away from me. I promise you, I will hunt every last one of them down. I have also made some allies that have helped me. Please, Father, give me the strength I need to find your murderers.

He remembered Ra'ive was there and looked over to him with a smile. "How are you feeling?"

Ra'ive sat down heavily on a nearby barrel as soon as they were on the deck. The fresh air made his nausea more tolerable but he still felt like crap.

"Fine and dandy but enough about me, pray tell, why do you want to go after the Guild? I overheard it was something about your father but---"

Ra'ive was interrupted suddenly, as a wave of queasiness washed over him. He damn near tore open the hatch in his mask and he almost threw himself over the railing of the ship.

He stayed there for awhile, keeled over the side and breathing heavily. He could hear the chuckles of the sailors behind him, mocking him for his land-lubberishness.

'Bastards, if I had my balance'

'You still have the throwing knives...

When he began to feel slightly better he closed the hatch and resumed his seat on the barrel.

"But I never heard more than that. This is not an undertaking to be done lightly"

In truth he had but he wanted to play dumb and hear it from Landon himself. Just to get a small measure of the man he could be assisting.

Landon gave Ra'ive a serious look and was silent for a moment.

"The Guild killed my father, destroyed my home and left me alone, with nothing but my armor, shield and sword. I was...unable to help him, couldn't rescue him. I wasn't fast enough..."

Tears formed in his eyes, but he held them back.

"I have sworn to find them and make every last one of them pay. They will not get away with taking my only family away from me!" he said and slammed his fist on the railing.

He said that last sentence a little too loud. He calmed himself, the tears were gone.

"Thanks to Vik'nar, I have some lead. But until I find them, I am happy to serve the King in any quest he gives us and to aid you all."

He looked up into the sky and gave a faint smile.
