The title pretty much says it all, tell The Escapist what/which language(s) you'd like to learn and why.

Personally, I've love to learn German.
You sound really badass just by speaking it because it sounds so angry.
I also love electronic music, which was based largely in Germany, and just learning the language that German musicians speak interests me.

So what about you?

Russian, because aside from being interesting, it sounds awesome too.
I have Russian heritage, and want to visit as well.

Plus. Love the accent.

I already fluently speak all the languages I NEED to know to get along, here and in general, (finnish, swedish, german and english) but I'd have to say afrikaans.

Partly because my father has spent a lot of time in south africa, and although he only speaks swahili fluently, he does know a bit of afrikaans and has taught me what he knows.

...And partly because me and a friend have fooled another of our friends into thinking that I actually lived three years in Johannesburg. Poor guy.

Practical:Spanish. Because, living in America it would give me a leg up at a job interview

Fun:Gaelic. So I can better learn Irish folk songs.

I'd like to learn French, as I've already got some of it down, and would like to feel like the last few years of learning it weren't a waste of time.

Plus, if I ever feel like it, I can go to Quebec and feel like I fit in.

Either Irish, because I'm from Ireland. Or Russian because it is an awesome language.

Need I say more?

The only language I've actually would have had a use for in all i have experienced on this world would be Japanese, though I wouldn't learn A language so I can watch raw anime episodes.

I would like to learn spanish though.

Latin.

Being a self-absorbed douchenozzle just isn't the same unless you can pretentious it up with some cool and intellectual sounding bullshit.

I'd also like to learn German. Back in sixth form, our class was supposed to choose either Russian or German. Something got mixed up and everyone had to learn Russian (the whole class found this out after quite some time). The thing is, after 6 years, my capability of speaking Russian is close to zero. i can't believe it myself, but i just cannot speak it. I suppose i have some sort of resentment against learning it because of the problems that have been and are between my country and Russia.
But i keep thinking :"what if i had gotten the chance to choose?"... German seems very interesting and cool. I think it could be handy in my further life, too.

Also, Japanese is cool. Why? I don't know.

I'd learn German mostly because I am mostly German, My dad speaks German and I think it'd be pretty cool to have conversations with my dad in German, and finally I listen to a lot of different German bands and like the OP I like a lot of German electronic bands.

The most useless language to speak right now, Latin, because ... it sounds cool... and its the basis for half the languages we have today so i could probably understand half the words some other people are saying in other languages.

C++, because the final is in 4 days and I'm freaking out.

But a human language? Maybe German or Russian.

French, learned a few phrases and it really rolls off my tongue.
Second choice though would definitely be German.
