1. How many hours a week do you spend playing Video Games
A minimum of 10.

2. Which Console(s) do you own?
PC and PS3. Used to own a 360 before it crapped out on me.

3. Do you prefer Pc gaming, or console gaming?
Since I don't have a good computer, I prefer consoles.

4. What is your favourate game genre? (I.e FPS, RPG, Puzzle...)
FPS.

5. How much do you normally spend on a game?
I usually buy them new, so $65.

6. Do you prefer buying physical copies of games, or Digital distribution?
Physical.

7. Do you think you're more likely to be sequels to games than buy into unknown franchises?
Both equally.

8. Do you enjoy games that try to challenge you?
I enjoy a certain degree of challenge, as long as it isn't bullshit difficulty. An example of just the right amount of challenge would be Demon's Souls.

I would appreciate express delivery of those mittens. It's as cold as a witch's tit right now and we have no heat.

Can't.... feel.... my hands.

2. Only a PC

4. rpg or fps

5. around 10 Euros

6. physical

7. sequels if i liked the ones before or have heard good things about them.

8. Yes until they aren´t some quicktime event that requiers a 0,05 second reaction. It must be solvable, and i prefer ones that requier thinking.

3. Do you prefer Pc gaming, or console gaming?
I prefer console gaming, due to not meet the PC requirements nowadays.

4. What is your favourate game genre? (I.e FPS, RPG, Puzzle...)
RPG, RTS, FPS in order.

I'll give it a go!

1. How many hours a week do you spend playing Video Games: About 12 hours min

2. Which Console(s) do you own? That I still play on regularly: Xbox 360, PS2, Wii

3. Do you prefer Pc gaming, or console gaming? Console gaming

4. What is your favourate game genre? (I.e FPS, RPG, Puzzle...) RPG

5. How much do you normally spend on a game? I tend to buy games after they've been released a while, usually around the £20 mark

6. Do you prefer buying physical copies of games, or Digital distribution? Physical copies! I have trouble getting rid of the consumer "need to own something tangible" thought

7. Do you think you're more likely to be sequels to games than buy into unknown franchises? No, I like to try demos for everything possible as long as it looks sort of reasonable

8. Do you enjoy games that try to challenge you? Yep :)

1. around 30

2. N64, Gamecube, PS2, PS3

3. Definitely PC

4. RPG, sometimes an MMO or two

5. Depends. If it is a game I am really excited for, I'll buy it new. However, if I'm just mildly interested, I'll probably rent it or wait until it is cheaper

6. Physical, although I like the idea of digital copies for games that are old or hard to find. Also, my ps3's disk drive keeps dying, so I wouldn't say no to a digital copy of Red Dead Redemption for it...

7. There are only a few series that I buy so I'm always looking for new good games.

8. Yes, but I have other requirements as well. If it is still fun, great, but if it is more like Demons Souls and frustratingly annoying, then I'll just stop playing. Also, creative gameplay or interesting characters/plot can make up for an easier game.

1. How many hours a week do you spend playing Video Games
Depends. If I have games that interest me/a newfound interest in an old game/a new game, it's quite a fair bit, especially now that I'm on holidays. Now that I have New Vegas...easily 100+ hours a week.

2. Which Console(s) do you own?
GameBoy Colour, Nintendo DS, GameCube, N64, Playsation, Xbox 360, NES.

3. Do you prefer PC gaming, or console gaming?
Console gaming. I'm just more used to controllers than mouse + keyboard. Buttons give me better feedback than keys ever could. However, for RTS games, PC all the way.

4. What is your favourite game genre? (I.e FPS, RPG, Puzzle...)
A toss up between Fallout/Oblivion styled RPGs, Golden Sun style RPGs, and RTS games.

5. How much do you normally spend on a game?
Well, it's Australia, so $100-$120.

6. Do you prefer buying physical copies of games, or Digital distribution?
Physical.

7. Do you think you're more likely to be sequels to games than buy into unknown franchises?
I am indeed more likely to purchase a sequel.

8. Do you enjoy games that try to challenge you?
If a game is so easy that there's no challenge, what's the point in playing?

1. 25-30

2. PS3, X360, PSP (older ones include PSX, PS2, X-Box, Megadrive II, GBA)

3. I prefer console games.

4. I like FPSs, RPGs, Action-Adventure

5. 30-60 euros, but I'll grab any bargains I'll find. I wait it out until prices drop on newer titles.

6. I usually buy the discs, but I also grab the occasional bargain from the likes of PSN.

7. I buy games I deem good, but I prefer not to buy sequels unless I've played the previous titles. No real preference in this regard.

8. Absolutely, but with challenge must come reward. Just mashing through a difficult game for the sake of the difficulty isn't terribly tempting. Trophies and achievements somehow deal with the whole "rewarding" thing, but I don't like cakewalks. Too easy is boring.

I'll take those cookies now.

1. How many hours a week do you spend playing Video Games
A: Approximately 15-25 hours

2. Which Console(s) do you own?
A: PS2 (no, not a typo... there are few games on the PS3 I care for, so I haven't seen reason to buy one), Xbox 360, Wii, DS, PSP

3. Do you prefer Pc gaming, or console gaming?
A: PC and DS gaming are my main forms.

4. What is your favourate game genre? (I.e FPS, RPG, Puzzle...)
A: RPGs all the way, baby! I love a good storyline, but the recent ones with "action-based combat" (aka, real-time, eg Final Fantasy XII) just annoy me.

5. How much do you normally spend on a game?
A: Depending on how much I want the game, around £20-30. If I really want it, been hyped up to the max about it, I might go up to the £50 (the most obvious case in point... Diablo 3, if they ever finish it!)

6. Do you prefer buying physical copies of games, or Digital distribution?
A: Physical. I always prefer a back-up incase something happens to my computer/console

7. Do you think you're more likely to be sequels to games than buy into unknown franchises?
A: Sometimes yes, sometimes no. I buy games on how much they interest me. If it wasn't for that, I wouldn't have half the games that I enjoy most (I'd have never bought Skies of Arcadia or Shadow Hearts)

8. Do you enjoy games that try to challenge you?
A: Again, yes and no. I like a challenge, but I'm not that great with more difficult puzzles and the like. Sometimes I prefer to use a walkthrough.

Anyway... off topic. Salmaras, perchance are you taking this course with a company called Train2Game?

3. Do you prefer Pc gaming, or console gaming?

PC.

4. What is your favourate game genre? (I.e FPS, RPG, Puzzle...)

None in particular.

5. How much do you normally spend on a game?

Anywhere from $1 to $90, it really varies depending on whether I'm buying retail or steam. Probably the average is about $50.

6. Do you prefer buying physical copies of games, or Digital distribution?

7. Do you think you're more likely to be sequels to games than buy into unknown franchises?

What usually decides whether I get a game or not is the word on the nets.

1. 10 - 12

2. Xbox 360, Gaming PC

3. It really depends on the genre (For example, I find it easier to play racing games on the 360)

4. Tie - FPS/RPG

5. AUD$100 (Equivilent of the USD$60 launch-day price)

6. Physical

7. No - I buy a game based on how much I like the game from previews, reviews and demos

8. Absolutely - nothing is more frustratingly enjoyable than making difficult choices (in games where they actually matter)

1. How many hours a week do you spend playing Video Games
4-30 hours. Gaming is a secondary hobby for me, so I'll periodically get really into it for weeks while other times I just play casually.

2. Which Console(s) do you own?
Gaming PC, Sony PS3, Wii. Prior to this I could only ever afford one system and stuck with nintendo as my console of choice sinse the NES.

3. Do you prefer Pc gaming, or console gaming?
Depends on the genre of game. I own more console games, so I'll say console.

4. What is your favourate game genre? (I.e FPS, RPG, Puzzle...)
RTS - ala Red Alert, C&C Generals, Warcraft 3 and Starcraft 1 & 2

5. How much do you normally spend on a game?
I buy nearly all games new if I truly want it. So $60+tax

6. Do you prefer buying physical copies of games, or Digital distribution?
Physical, though I buy steam games based on price from good deals. Still I don't trust they'll be available to me in 3+ years.

7. Do you think you're more likely to be sequels to games than buy into unknown franchises?
I buy based on game reviews and preview information. Games I buy tend to be based on sequels as they tend to get the best reviews. This probably wont change either. It's hard to pay full price for a new franchise game if it didn't perform exceptionally well critically.

8. Do you enjoy games that try to challenge you?
Absolutely, however, all games should offer extremely varied challenge modes. Easy should suit the casual games, normal should suit the typical target audience of the game, and hard modes should test the hardcore gamer of that genre. Give gamers flexibility, don't force them to adapt.

1. Around 10 right now as I'm pulling extra shifts at work. When I'm not doing over time it's more like 18-20.

2. XBox 360, PS2, Wii, Gamecube, PSP, DS.

3. Console gaming, if only because I've never tried PC gaming.

4. RPG, platform, puzzle.

5. Normally retail price, unless I'm buying second hand.

6. Physical copies.

7. No, I buy more stand alone titles than sequels.

8. Yes. I love when a game like Dragon Age throws me for a loop with a difficult moral choice, or when a puzzle game really makes me think.

In answer to Byere's question (These stupid computers won't let me pull quotes >_<), i'm not with Train 2 Game, i'm a student working progressively through college, hence the irritating "Government Sanctioned" curriculum, i mean it's not bad but, some parts of this course just feel a tad arbitrary

1. I'm going to conservatively estimate that i average 20 hours of gaming a week.

2. I own a PlayStation 2, an XBox, and a Playstation 3.

3. Console gaming. Not out of any philosophical preference, but it's how I was raised.

4. I think it's a tie between story-driven Action/Adventure titles and Music Simulation games.

5. One of the few pleasures of my job is that I need not actually purchase games to play them, but when I do I try not to spend more than $40 per game.

6. Physical copies are for the most part how I acquire my games. Both formats have pros and cons.

7. I LOVE when publishers take a risk and release an essentially unknown quantity into the market, even if it proves disappointing. For instance, I got much more of a thrill playing Alpha Protocol than I did playing Halo Reach.

8. Intellectually, yes. I can do without most skill-based challenges, since I have neither the time nor compulsion it requires to hone most skills in question into reward-able condition.

1. How many hours a week do you spend playing Video Games
Like, 15-20? Depends... I'll average it out to 17.

2. Which Console(s) do you own?
PS2, PS3, Wii, Gamecube, PSP, DS.

3. Do you prefer Pc gaming, or console gaming?
Console gaming. Been playing console games since I could hold a controller.

4. What is your favourate game genre? (I.e FPS, RPG, Puzzle...)
Well... I've been playing a lot of action/adventure and fighting games lately... but I do really like RPGs a lot... and most of my games are RPG, too... I'll go with that I guess. ^.^

5. How much do you normally spend on a game?
Usually retail.

6. Do you prefer buying physical copies of games, or Digital distribution?
Physical copies. I'll buy digital every now and then, but I'm the kind of person that still buys CDs and stuff. I like tangible objects.

7. Do you think you're more likely to be sequels to games than buy into unknown franchises?
Hm... well, I usually do get sequels for series that I really really like, but I hate spin-offs as a rule (i.e. the assassin creed and kingdom hearts games for the psp and ds, etc.)... new (good) games are always more enjoyable for the sake of having something different... you know what? It really just depends on the previews and the ratings. I follow the crowd a lot of the time....

8. Do you enjoy games that try to challenge you?
For the most part, yes. Unless the game has a super interesting story, I probably won't like it if it's too easy... likewise, if it isn't engaging and is super hard, I'll just set it down and leave it at that. Mental challenges and moral choices are always nice. Mindless overpowered boss fights and ridiculous speed challenges... not so much.
