I just bought "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" and i have to say i am extremely impressed. The combat system is fluid, the moves flow nicely from one to the next, the graphics are very well done and the voice acting is top-notch. Have we finally reached that pinnacle that was supposedly unreachable? A movie based game that DOES NOT suck? I would like to think so.

What are some fairly decent/gut-wrenching terrible movie games that you have come across?

EDIT: I wanted to throw in "Spider-Man 2" to the Good List.

I know they're old, but the Super Star Wars games for the SNES were pretty damn fun, even if brutally difficult.

You mean other than Riddick?
I never really got into Riddick, the movies or the games for that matter.
Just never held my interest for too long.

Aladin for the SNES was a solid platformer that had great levels and a epic final battle with Jafar.

Riddick is the best out of them all.

I've also heard that yes, the latest Wolverine game is good.

You might also consider trying out X-Men 2: Rise of the Apocalypse. Not based on movies, but it's a very good superhero RPG.

Oh, and the first Spider-Man (not the 2000 one - although it's good too) is pretty fun for a while.

I liked the Two Towers game. Wasn't amazing, but a fairly solid beat 'em up. Wasn't expecting anything revolutionary, had fun for a while.

Goldeneye is easily the best.
There's lots of solid Starwars games. Rogue Squadron is probably the best. Lucas Arts isn't a bad developer.
The first Riddick game was really cool. Haven't played the 2nd one.
The Lego games are good, but a bit simplistic for my taste.

ET for 2600 is widely thought of as one of the worst games ever made. Take your pick if you're looking for bad games. Most of them have no effort put into them, relying on the brand name to sell.

Goldeneye.
Riddick.
Spider-Man 2.

The worst... Hmm, maybe E.T for the Atari 2600.

Other than the three you mentioned, I can't think of any.

They suck both ways around usually. Quite a lot of the problems comes when they want to make the movie or game as much like the movie or game it was based on but not to the point that it's actually the same thing, and the result usually goes horribly wrong.

Spider-Man 2 is cool,
Goldeneye kicks ass all over the place,
Riddick is a nice FPS,
Quantum of Solace was OK,
King Kong was alright and
Rogue Squadron 2 was good.

They could make exxxelent games out of Michael Bay movies, but still haven't seen any.
Movies to games depends on developer too. Games to movies don't depend, they just suck.

Stop spreading such vicious rumours, anti comic guys might latch onto that comment and attack with their +1 crap verbose.

Spiderman 2 was fun, if only to swing through the city, Goldeneye was superb... legend has it is was the first game to have a zooming sniper scope.

Goldeneye 64, Riddick, The Warriors
The Warriors doesn't count for me; It's a good game but it's not like most movie games that have to push the game out for the movies release.
