Okay i searched a while and i couldn't find this.

From which existing electronic company would you like to see a completely new console. So no Sony, Microsoft or Nintendo. It shall be a console for which the bigger developers will make games.

For me it would be Philips. I think they're able to do the job =)

oh have you heard of the Philips CD-I [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CD-i] it brought so true atrocities into this world...

OT: I wanna see Valve make a system because they aren't money hungry douches...

What about OnLive? Didn't that flop?
I doubt anybody could bring anything new to the table, owing to the fact that nobody is now, save for Nintendo, and they're getting whined at for it.

If I had to choose one company, it's be OddWorld Inhabitants. That would be MAD.

Despite the linked example, yes, Apple. That was '95. This is 2010.
I wonder what they'd call it, and what it would thematically be named after?

Do Valve count? I mean, I'm a fanboy, but I still think it would be interesting to see what they could come up with.

Love to see Sega break back in, but it's highly unlikely. Based on how much it would cost to develop the technology to compete nowadays, it's almost impossible for a company new to gaming to enter the frey. Apple may do it, but I doubt it

I actually expect this from Apple. They're taking over the world, you know.

Pippin was an idea from 15 years ago.....
so what it still existed, just like the Gizmondo [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gizmondo] and Pioneer LaserActive [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pioneer_LaserActive]...

They're now saying people should use it to demo games - except you have to pay for it when normally released demos are free. Not to mention that a major reason I use a demo is to test my hardware against it, and with huge sense of irony OnLive can't offer that.

They wouldn't bother; they've got more hold on the PC as a gaming platform than Microsoft do.

OT: If Apple made a console it'd probably negate the point of playing on a console (because it's cheap).
